The Slam Tent is back at T in the Park for 2015 with a huge line-up of some of the very best in electronic dance music at the festival’s new residence, Strathallan Castle. This year, the tent will feature Slam, Adam Beyer b2b Joseph Capriati, Alan Fitzpatrick, Âme, Art Department, Ben Klock, Dense & Pika, Dixon, Dubfire, Eats Everything, Gary Beck, Jackmaster b2b Joy Orbison, Lil Louis, Loco Dice, Maya Jane Coles, Rødhåd, SLAM, Telford and Visionquest.

Roisin Murphy has possibly become one of the most competent, enduring and influential figures in the pop, disco and electronic music worlds. The Irish singer-songwriter originally broke into the charts as the front woman for Moloko, delivering music that was leftfield electronic and pop-orientated. Her consequent output, two solo albums, and ‘Mi Senti’ an Italian language EP with The Vinyl Factory, alongside guest vocal presence on labels like Hot Creations and Permanent Vacation have ensured Roisin’s enduring legacy and constant evolution as an artist. Now she gets set for the release of ‘Jealousy’ on Crosstown Rebels.

King Street has gone to to Motor City, to the land that spawned Detroit techno and DJs such as Derrick May, Carl Craig, Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. This was also the home of DJ Terrence Parker, where from his humble beginnings doing on-air mixes for a local station in Michigan, he's gone on to do some original productions and remixing many indie and major artists alike.

Extrema Outdoor Belgium celebrates its fifth anniversary on 22, 23 and 24 May with a massive DJ line-up pushing the best in electronic music. 

UK dance music festival Creamfields is back this August Bank Holiday weekend taking over the Cheshire countryside for three days of music. Attracting a record breaking crowd of 70,000 people and selling out in record time in 2014, this year’s festival could well be set to eclipse it. 

One of the biggest electronic music acts of all time, Faithless, will perform a full live set in the EXIT Dance Arena in Serbia on 12 July, bringing the event to a close with a bang. The group return to the stage for a series of special performances that mark 20 years of existence by remixing their ‘Faithless 2.0’. Other artists joining the Dance Arena line up include Oliver Heldens and Kill The Buzz, Danish producer Kölsch, as well as Catz ’n Dogz. 

On Monday 23 March Italian dance music label, Deeperfect will be bringing techno and tech-house to Miami as they host an event at Steam as part of the annual Winter Music Conference. 

Having announced its Phase One lineup back in January 2015, Ultra Music Festival recently revealed the second wave of talent set to perform at the 17th annual edition of the festival over Miami Music Week this March. Receiving the biggest boost for Phase Two is the Live Stage, which will be playing host to some exciting live performers from 27-29 March 2015. Gracing the Live Stage, and joining a batch of Phase One acts at the Klipsch Amphitheatre in just a few weeks time, will be phase 2 headliners Big Gigantic, Canadian electro-funk duo Chromeo, Claptone and Norway’s Todd Terje, who will be making his long awaited Ultra debut!

One of Ibiza’s most popular nights returns for a 14^th consecutive year this summer, as Safehouse Management presents Carl Cox - Music Is Revolution - confirming they will be back at Space Ibiza for 12 nights only, kicking off on Tuesday 7 July with this season’s theme  ‘The Next Phase’.

Following last week’s T in the Park line-up announcement, festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager recently announced some new additions to the 2015 bill, including  Mark Ronson (DJ set), Everything Everything, Admiral Fallow, Jack Savoretti, Rae Morris, Marmozets and Saint Raymond. 

Dim Mak mainstay Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo of The Bloody Beetroots unleashes his newest musical iteration - SBCR. While The Bloody Beetroots remain an eclectic, rock-influenced, live electronic band, SBCR is Rifo’s strictly DJ-performance moniker under which he releases similarly dancefloor-driven productions.

Solomun will be the main protagonist on Sunday nights at Pacha Ibiza for the third consecutive season during summer 2015, where he will headline 20 dates and is also one of the chosen DJs to plays at IMS Ibiza this year. 

Out now, Bedrock Records presents two brand new edits of John Digweed & Nick Muir’s collaboration with Jozif, possibly one of the standout tracks from the original 2013 'Versus’ album, entitled ‘Groove Del Verano’.

Coming off the ‘Leave Your Mark’ tour where he traveled the US and Europe for a host of shows, Denis Jašarević AKA Gramatik, recently announced his Spring Tour around North America, with dates through 2015. Starting things off in New Orleans on 13 March, where he is set to play the BUKU music and arts project, the Lowtemp label head will continue his tour through the West Coast where he is slated to play the already sold out, two weekend long Coachella festival. 

One Wednesday 25 March, Steam Miami welcomes Detroit-based Incorrect Music for a showcase that will take clubbers through a full day and night of techno from some of the industry’s key players. 

Garnier is back on F Communications for the release of ‘Home Box’. After a year spent making new music and performing DJ sets all over the world, Garnier has returned with a wish list, a travel journal and plenty of searching questions. Why inundate the market when there are already so many techno productions already out there? After 30 years of expostulating the techno revolution and seeing it grow, why the need to add to what’s already been said? Is techno really still at the forefront of the musical cultural revolution? What will come next to reinvigorate the music scene?

In step with their WYM Radio show’s first 50th milestone, Nic & Bossi aka Cosmic Gate recently unveiled their new mix album concept, ‘Wake Your Mind Sessions’, which combines the highlights of their DJ sets and the WYM-Radio show and new music premiere platform as one. Over its 33 tracks you’ll find artists such as Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery & Arty sharing the mix with lesser-known Cosmic Gate influences like GusGus. There’s also audio from ilan Bluestone, Genix, LTN, Steve Brian, Ost & Meyer and more. 

This summer, T in the Park will take up residency in the grounds of Strathallan Castle, and festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager recently revealed the acts set to play the first year at the festival’s brand new Perthshire home. Over 10-12 July, Strathallan Castle will play host to a bill packed with some of the world’s biggest bands, DJs, solo artists and breakthrough talent, as well as a daily crowd of 85,000 music fans.

Drumcode continues in 2015 with the latest track from Harvey McKay. Harvey has been making waves in the techno world with releases on Drumcode, Cocoon, 8 Sided Dice, Soma and more and has gained support across the globe as possibly one of the hottest techno producers around, which has seen artists such as Adam Beyer get behind him and support his work. 

‘All Gone Pete Tong & Gorgon City Miami 2015’ is a new two CD mix packed full of upfront house, techno and electronica from some of the world’s greatest producers. The compilation featuring tracks and remixes from the likes of Royskopp & Robin, Daniel Avery, MK, Dusky and Maceo Plex – as well as two brand new and exclusive Gorgon City productions.

On Saturday 23 May 2015, the fourth edition of the Pacha Festival returns to the heart of Amsterdam, Holland, revamped into a mini Balearic event. The event promises a day filled with the latest dance music accompanied by entertainment for like-minded souls. The event will be built containing three stages, the first and foremost being ‘Pure Pacha’, or main-stage. There will also be an ‘Insane’ tent and a brand new atmospheric open air stage.

On 5 February 2015, Fedde Le Grand, working with Sjoerd van Schooten, RTL’s Director of Live Entertainment, became the first dance music act to play at the Royal Theatre Carré, Amsterdam, as it opened its doors to a capacity crowd of 1,200. With live vocalists, moving stages, projection mapping and audio-visual effects tuned to three hours of Fedde’s latest tracks, GRAND was realised after months of planning.  

Following on from the success of the recent ‘Italo House’ and ‘Remixed With Love’ compilations, ZR returns with another compilation to start 2015. ‘Supafunkanova Volume 2’ has been selected by Joey Negro and Sean P, who together have compiled many previous albums including ‘Disco (Not Disco)’, ‘Destination Boogie’ and the ‘Soul Of Disco’ series. The duo continue to dig deep, compiling albums filled with lesser known disco and boogie releases. 

Outbreak Festival takes place 23 and 24 of May 2015, spread across two days and features more than 200 headline artists from the worlds of house, techno, bass, garage, D&B and everything in between. The festival takes place in the natural landscapes of Raceway Fields & Forest at Donnington Park in Leicestershire. 

Dino Lenny became known in the ’90s after remixing INXS, Underworld, Missy Elliot and Timbaland, and collaborating with acts such as Scissors Sisters, WuTang Clan and Madonna. He follows up his recent ‘Ellum’ EP with a release on Crosstown Rebels’ sibling Rebellion; with the double-sided ‘Don’t Believe’.

For their debut EP, London based production pair Igluu deliver two house cuts on Max Chapman’s Resonance Records. Despite ‘Bass Heavy’ being their first release, the UK producers dish up a couple of well-polished originals firmly supported with a pumping remix from label head honcho Chapman.

Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso recently announced their return to London for a show at London’s Alexandra Palace on Saturday 6 June. With a string of hits and more than 15 million record sales spanning their extensive careers the newly formed duo are ready to unleash their new project, Axwell Λ Ingrosso on the UK. 

After announcing their return to the Quayside site Spillers Wharf in Newcastle for their second ‘By Day By Night’ festival event, Shindig recently released the first major installment of acts to be gracing the banks of the Tyne for the now two-day, two-night long event on May Bank Holiday Weekend.

Returning to Leeds after the recent Road to Paris series, Red Bull Music Academy joins forces with Mint Club in Leeds on Friday 27 February for a night of great music and atmosphere.

Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano deliver an early spring with their new single ‘Come Follow’. Known for their big-room tracks, the Dutch duo show a softer side for their first release of 2015. 

This summer Together returns to Ibiza’s Amnesia for the fifth successive year to host possibly one of the most diverse weekly parties on the island, with Defected In The House joining them on the Terrace. An apparent successful 2014 witnessed a series of parties featuring dozens of the biggest names in electronic music. Chase & Status held down a weekly residency, whilst artists such as Skrillex, Diplo, Gorgon City, Sigma, Example, Sub Focus, Ben Pearce, Andy C, Hannah Wants were all amongst the line ups.

Following on from its latest EP from Philip Bader, which picked support from names such as Loco Dice, James Zabiela, Huxley and Groove Armada, Lost Records hits release 18 with Josh Butler ‘Rebirth’. The last couple of years have been anything but dull for Josh Butler with a string of releases on Madtech, MTA and Definition, but December saw the producer enjoy the proverbial ‘cherry on top’ in picking up DJ Mag’s ‘Best Breakthrough Producer of 2014’ at their Best of British Awards. 

Dutch DJ/producer Nicky Romero recently confirmed his return to Miami March with the announcement of his latest venture, Nicky Romero Presents #Protocol305. Switching up proceedings by moving to Mansion Nightclub on Saturday 28 March, this aptly titled #Protocol305 event (305 being the official Miami-Dade area code) will see Nicky take over the Washington Avenue venue for one night only.

Armin van Buuren recently announced that he will be releasing the 12th instalment of his compilation: ‘A State of Trance’ on 27 March 2015. This announcement comes off of a year that saw Armin receive a Grammy nomination and several platinum awards for ‘This Is What It Feels Like’, a world tour that apparently reached over 500,000 visitors across five continents, and a slew of other prestigious awards.

Ultra conservative and right-wing movements and political parties such as Pegida, Hogesa, Mvgida and AfD / NPD may be corroding these days – but that doesn’t mean that racism and everyday resentment against migrants is a relict of the past. Parts of Germany’s and Europe’s society are on a constant swing to the right – the project No Historical Backspin (initiated by Monika Kruse) has been setting a strong example for tolerance and togetherness since the year 2000.

Lamb, Nightmares on Wax and Stealing Sheep are among the first acts to be confirmed for Farmfestival 2015, the festival's 10^th year birthday bash from 31 July to 1 August. Joining them on the bill are Zun Zun Egui, the recently reformed Portico and Sherwood & Pinch, who's new album ‘Late Night Endless’ is out this week. 2015 also sees the return of The Lovely Eggs.

Following a theatrical run in UK cinemas last year, documentary label Dogwoof releases one of the ultimate hip-hop documentaries, ‘Nas: Time Is Illmatic’, to Steelbook, DVD and On Demand. 

Afrojack is set to return to the UK for two shows over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. The Dutch DJ/producer will be taking to the decks at two of the UK’s music venues, Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse on Saturday 4 April and London’s Electric Brixton on Sunday 5 April.

After 15 years of curating and cultivating music, Scottish producer Graeme Clark aka The Revenge releases his debut album ‘Love That Will Not Die’ on his own imprint Roar Groove. Although strongly influenced by the past, his gift for crafting forward-thinking and cuts continues to be at the forefront of his musical attributes. This full-length format allows him to showcase every side of his sonic psyche through a mix of styles and ambience.

As possibly one of Revealed Recordings most familiar faces and long withstanding collaborators, Julian Calor recently made the announcement of his debut artist album ‘Evolve’ on the imprint. After the success of his ‘Typhoon/ Storm’ EP in 2014 that climbed its way into the Beatport top ten, Julian proves once again his musical talent with this melodic trip. 

Established in London in 1999, independent house music and events label, Defected, opened a pop up store at London’s Boxpark yesterday, through to 15 February, with resident DJ Sam Divine playing a one-off free party this Thursday. 

Dave Clarke will again host the Opera stage at Tomorrowland in Belgium on Sunday 26 July. Presenting a broad range of alternative dance music, Dave will be joined by big names from the techno fraternity, blending established names with the hot new talent with possibly something for every discerning music lover.

Ahead of this year’s annual Winter Music Conference, Toolroom Records release their first flagship album of the year – 'Toolroom Miami 2015'.  

Since the release of his breakthrough album, 'Immunity' in 2013, Jon Hopkins turns his attention to curating this ‘Late Night Tales’ mix, set for release on 6 March on CD as well as an unmixed double 180 gram vinyl release. The 21-track compilation features tracks from Holy Other, Nils Frahm, Darkstar, Teebs and an exclusive piano cover of Yeasayer's 'I Remember'. 

Electronic music producer Madeon recently announced his return to the UK on Tuesday 31 March to perform a live show at Oval Space in London to celebrate the launch of his debut album ‘Adventure’. In 2013, the 20 year old DJ/producer became the first electronic artist in history to perform a full production show on the floor of the New York stock exchange.

One of the world’s most popular sunset destinations, Café Mambo, will open its terraces for the new summer season on Friday 15 May. Following Café Mambo’s 20^th anniversary in 2014, and its most successful year to date, 2015 will see the venue continue to evolve its combination of some of electronic music’s biggest names, new talent and  resident DJs.

They say that hard work and dedication are the key to success, which young North-Eastern producer Denney realised in 2012 when his first track 'Ultraviolet' was signed by the Hot Creations camp, leading to huge international success. 

An eight year connection stands between NYC’s Danny Krivit and one of London’s club nights, Need2Soul. As a key player on the historic NY scene, Danny represents all that is sacred to the disco, and Need2Soul - his spiritual London home - is a platform of true expression for the heads, for music with soul, depth, groove and legacy at its core. For this one-off special appearance at South London’s Plan B, Danny will be digging deep into his collection for a marathon eight-hour set.

The Don’t Let Daddy Know brand is landing in the UK for the first time on Saturday 25 April at the Victoria Warehouse, Manchester. An anticipated 5,000 clubbers can expect a lineup including Showtek, Blasterjaxx, Sander van Doorn, Dannic, Sick Individuals, Moti, Sem Vox and Blinders. 

Croatia’s The Garden Festival is racing toward its tenth anniversary and final ever event this summer. Set on the beautiful Adriatic coastline, the adventure has not only been the inspiration for the now thriving electronic music scene in the region, but also for retaining much of its heart and soul as it approaches a decade in the country. 

Last month, Markus Schulz transported you to South Beach’s sexy ‘Bayfront (Miami)’. For February’s installment of Schulz’s “City Series” concept, he teams up with Tom Boxer to descend upon a city rich in art, architecture, and culture. This time, the Romanian capital of Bucharest is under focus, with its track titled ‘Bine Făcut’ which translates to ‘well done’.

Perfecto Records was founded by 3 x Grammy nominated and former DJ Mag # 1 DJ, producer and former Champion Records A&R man Paul Oakenfold, at a time when house music, rave culture and the Balearic scene were all in full bloom in the UK. Since its first release – Izit ‘Stories’ – Perfecto went on to release the music of artists such as Carl Cox, David Guetta, BT, Man with No Name, Timo Maas, Tiësto, Grooverider and many more. 

Freeze and Cream recently announced their brand new project - The Asylum. This new collaboration sees Freeze and Cream combine to deliver a series of events creating a brand new musical direction, set in a new location and bringing together an array of world-class electronic artists across the techno, house and electronic music spectrum.  

Cassius will be bringing their house sound to Ministry of Sound on Valentine’s Day, Saturday 14 February. Philippe Zdar and Boom Bass AKA Cassius are  possibly one of electronic music’s most respected acts. Pioneers of the French Touch sound in the late 1990s alongside acts like Daft Punk and Etienne de Crecy, they created classic house tracks ‘1999’, ‘The Sound of Violence’, ‘Feeling For You’ and ‘I Love You So’. 

The next Winter Music Conference in Miami is just around the corner and it’s all systems go as party plans are put into action. After the apparent success of RedLight at the Amsterdam Dance Event in October last year, Kryder & Tom Staar have decided to bring their show to Miami. On Friday 27 March, the boys will be taking over Steam Miami from 10pm.

After celebrating a successful first year in 2014, Iceland's Secret Solstice festival recently announced its initial dance lineup for 2015. Secret Solstice was made famous last year for patrons being able to party in perpetual daylight for three entire days. 

Following on from the original mix of ‘Something New’ from Axwell ^ Ingrosso, the new set of mixes from Robin Schulz get set for release. The DJ and producer from Germany topped the German charts twice last year with his house-reworks of Mr. Probz' ‘Waves’ and ‘Prayer In C’ by Lily Wood & The Prick and scored top spots in the international charts as well. 

So who knows what Louis Jordan would’ve thought of a producer like Rampa translating his ‘Let The good Times Roll’ credo into an underground house track. ‘Good Times’ features Aquarius Heaven on vocals and evokes an upbeat mood with an eclectic collection of percussion instruments that has almost become a trademark of the rhythm-fond originator. 

Officially the largest electronic music festival in Croatia’s history, Ultra Europe recently released their Phase One lineup of this year’s event. Headlining will be DJs such as Afrojack, Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, Carl Cox, The Chemical Brothers (Live), David Guetta, Knife Party Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero, Steve Angello, Tiësto and Zedd—all performing at Poljud Stadium in the coastal city of Split.

Canada’s Zeds Dead and Dutchman Oliver Heldens recently debuted the full-length stream of their collaboration, ‘You Know’, which gets released today on Spinnin' Records. This bass-focused duo and Heldens have both seen decent success in 2014. 

Armin van Buuren recently celebrated the 700th episode of his weekly radio show ‘A State of Trance’, where he handed over control to his fans. This week, Armin will start a new tour called “Together in A State of Trance”, a theme that has been chosen to involve the fans as much as possible in the tour.
