Italian DJ, Stefano Noferini, has teamed up with DJ Mag to launch a competition which is aimed at fans, aspiring DJs and producers! Stefano is launching the competition to celebrate the one year anniversary of his Club Edition Radio Show, which has received more than one million plays on Soundcloud and is played across 110 radio stations worldwide, every week.

Judge Jules is a man who should need no introduction  as he’s an experienced dance music campaigner, involved in everything from club nights to radio shows, After his new track recently dropped, it’s fair to say he’s pretty familiar with Paul van Dyk’s Vandit records discography.

As someone who has possibly opened the door to techno and tech house for a generation of clubbers with his Miracle, Brave New World and Hey! labels, Dutch producer Michel de Hey has now joined forces with fellow countryman and rising DJ Mulder to release their ‘Seven EP’ on Defected’s DFTD imprint.

‘Warehouse Anthems’ is a 3CD retrospective compilation of the music that primarily sound-tracked the rave revolution between 1989 - 1994, when warehouse and outdoor events fuelled an alternative dance culture that suddenly found itself a regular visitor to the UK chart’s Top 10. 

This year, Josh Wink's Ovum Recordings celebrates its 20th anniversary. To honour 20 years of making you dance, the Philadelphia based DJ, producer and label founder continues his Ovum world tour. The 2Ovum tour hits Miami WMC this Thursday, with Josh Wink joined by Joris Voorn, Steve Bug, Ambivalent and D'Julz in Room 1, whilst Gorgon City, Kidnap Kid, Manik, Henry Krinkle and special guest Tourist.

Ibiza has been Loco Dice’s summer home for a decade and a half and last season he launched his highly successful Used + Abused residency. On an island renowned for people pushing for more year on year, constantly aiming for the ‘bigger’, or the ‘better’ it is very rare to see an artist take a step back. Superfreq celebrate 12 years in action in 2014, and a year or so after re-launching the label. This time it’s Stark who are releasing their ‘Velorum EP’, featuring four tracks inspired by the star system after which it is named: Velorum is in the constellation Vela at magnitude +1.7 and is one of the brightest stars in the night sky. Stark is a live act consisting of Simon Granger and David Gooday, the latter of which was one of the founder members of British act Nitzer Ebb. 

The Music For Dreams label releases ‘Kenneth Bager’s Balearic Biscuits’ today, a contemporary 17-track electronica compilation album on that embodies the laid back spirit of Ibiza. 

2013 was big for Melbourne’s Samual James, with his solo release ‘Mega’ garnering lots of worldwide support. Now, with his latest track, ‘Karbon’, which was recently premiered by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, he hits the road to headline the Karbon National tour, heavily supported by his growing number of admirers.

To celebrate the launch of the new subscription site, crewlove.us, every artist on the Crew Love roster fronted by Soul Clap and Wolf + Lamb will hit the road across Europe on a double decker bus tour equipped with a full mobile studio. 

Danny Howard joins the electronic music world this week in Miami for a world of boat and pool parties at the Winter Music Conference.  Danny arrives off the back of several releases on Spinnin’ including ‘Mug’, his collaboration with Glowinthedark and T3nbears, and the latest edition of his Nothing Else Matters brand featuring Toyboy & Robin, GotSome and Weiss.

Deep 8 Recordings is a brand new UK label intent on offering high quality house releases and its inaugural release comes from Andi Rivera and features the Robert Owens on vocal duty. A selection of remixes comes from Pezzner, A Lister, James Johnston and taMe. 

2020Vision celebrates its 20th anniversary this year by releasing ‘Content’, a compilation mixed by Ralph Lawson featuring 20 exclusive new original tracks and remixes. The album will be augmented by a series of parties across the planet including Fabric, Sonar, Hideout, Ibiza, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Milan, Munich, Zurich, Glasgow, Leeds and beyond.

As part of the London Warehouse Events, Sven Vath returns to London tonight for the last instalment of his Cocoon parties in the capital until late 2014. With another big line-up and an extended set from Sven to look forward to, this could be the ideal warm up for the summer season ahead. Anja Schneider will be heading up room 2 as her Mobilee imprint joins the party with Timo Maas and more in toe. 

Skream makes his Boysnoize Records debut with ‘Bang That’, which is released this Monday 24 March. British DJ, producer and radio presenter, Skream (Ollie Jones) has been kicking up a storm since his days at Croydon’s Big Apple Record store, which became an integral part of the early dubstep scene.  Having produced music since he was a teenager, he went on to release tracks on a variety of UK labels, including two artist albums, ‘Skream!’ in 2006 and ‘Outside The Box’ in 2010, both on Tempa Records, as well as being a member of Magnetic Man alongside Benga and Artwork. 

Established in London in 1999, one of our favourite record labels, Defected, celebrates its 15th anniversary this year with a global tour and the opening of its first-ever record store and exhibition space. Stage one of Defected’s anniversary is the Defected 15 Club Tour: a series of 15 events that aims to bring the best in house music to Defected fans around the globe.  Taking in 15 cities, starting in London, the birthplace of Defected, the tour reaches right around the globe; from Los Angeles to Sydney, Tokyo to Amsterdam by way of Ibiza.

Pukka Up embarks on a residency this year entitled ‘Going Global’ in Pacha’s Global Room every Wednesday from 11 June until 24 September. This recent announcement comes with the news that for the first time, Pukka Up will add one extra day of boat parties to its weekly programme, kick starting on 11 June and  every Wednesday thereon for 15 weeks. This year it will float seven boats a day, three days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays giving island dwellers even more choice than ever to experience its party vibe.

Red Bull Guest House recently announced its full Miami Music Week lineup at the Gale South Beach next week from 27-30 March 27. For the second year in a row, the Red Bull Guest House brings together innovative electronic artists from a variety of backgrounds to play in an intimate setting. 

New Japanese talent, Shinichi Osawa, is apparently causing a stir over in Tokyo's clubland just now and has recently announced his debut double A side single, 'Breaking Through the Night / All I Need', via Kitsuné this spring. 

Isis Salam has hooked up with German duo Kruse & Nuernberg to release 'Let Go'. The track translates to video well and this is Isis’ dance evolution, complete with two Tasmanian dancing devils. Taking Berlin’s backdrop as a starting point for their flow they move through the streets and stores of the German capital. The video features a brief cameo appearance from Kruse & Nuernberg who, like in real life, keep the music rollin’.

The next release on Leftroom revisits the debut album, ‘Word Of Mouth’, by label boss Matt Tolfrey, which was released in 2012. Four cuts from the full length get remixed by Mr Fingers, NYC’s Kenny Dope, Justin Harris and Luke Solomon’s Freaks project and Classic cohort Rob Mello’s No Ears. First up, Matt Tolfrey feat Jem Cooke & Kevin Knapp’s ‘Distant Story’ gets remixed by Larry Heard. The Alleviated boss transforms the track into a deeply soulful and spiritual track with otherworldly pads, feathery light hi hats and knock-on-wood beats.

Fresh from mixing a disc of ‘Defected In The House Miami 2014’, Canadian artist Paolo Rocco has been going from strength to strength with his steady flow of releases in recent years. Highly regarded for his structured DJ sets as well as his productions, this artist of Italian descent has produced for a slew of creditable imprints such as Saved Records, Seaking, Real Tone and Klasse Recordings whilst also seeing his work praised by the likes of Damian Lazarus, Nic Fanciulli and DJ Sneak.

The Cocoon label is back with the next instalment of its annual mix series. Entitled ‘Neun’, this latest edition, like all eight before it, comes from Chris Tietjen, who has once again been chosen by label boss Sven Väth to represent the Cocoon sound across 15 various selections. Tietjen started as a young gun in Väth’s Cocoon Booking agency and soon developed into a serious club DJ representing Cocoon across the globe. 

As the countdown to festival season begins, Germany’s Melt! Festival recently revealed 20 new acts for the 2014 edition, which takes place from 18 – 20 July in Ferropolis. Acts including Jeff Mills, Little Dragon, Panda Bear, Seth Troxler, Temples, Maya Jane Coles, Le1f and many more will perform at the open air festival, in addition to acts previously announced including Portishead, Röyksopp & Robyn Do It Again 2014, Moderat, Darkside, Metronomy and Four Tet.

As they get set for their headline show at Miami’s Ice Palace Studios on 29 March, Deep Dish have just released their new single, ‘Quincy’ this week. The duo have also just announced that they’ll be presenting this week’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. This will be Deep Dish’s fourth time helming the Essential Mix and the first time since 2005. 

Due for launch this Wednesday 19 March, Front of House TV brings clubbers into Dannic's world and gives them unprecedented access to his inner circle. Each episode explores different topics and follows Dannic through the trials and tribulations he is confronted with.  For many Dannic still remains an mysterious figure and Front Of House TV’s purpose is to address this so clubbers can discover the real persona behind the DJ/producer.

Nervo are back in London, UK on Friday 9  May to celebrate their ‘Inspired’ Album launch at Electric Brixton, joined by Dutch DJ/producer R3hab. Over the last few years the twin sisters from Oz have been making some serious noise in the dance world, having jumped 30 places to #16 in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll, they are also songwriters, producers and artists in their own right, having penned for the likes of Ke$ha and Kylie to name a few. 

Section Records opens 2014 with the release of Audioglider's debut album, ‘Accidental Beauty’. ‘The Bells’, one of the album’s cuts, is now available to stream direct from Audioglider’s Soundcloud. With echoes of Cocteau Twins, Nils Frahm, Boards of Canada, Nightmares On Wax and Ulrich Schnauss, Audioglider a.k.a. Roberto Sodano’s chilled electronica has won him fans across the downtempo community – from The Big Chill to DJs including Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Glenn Morrison. 

Along with the silver anniversary of KMS and remixes of Inner City’s ‘Good Life’ and ‘Big Fun’, Kevin Saunderson also recently announced the resurrection of the act, coming after top live performances at the 2010 Movement Festival and the KMS 25 Year Anniversary at St Andrews Hall (Detroit) in 2012.

With the continuous announcements of parties that make up Winter Music Conference and Miami Music Week, an expected favourite could well be the forthcoming An Evening With BT, taking place at Rokbar on Collins Ave on 25 March from 10PM - 5AM. 

Gamers recently queued late into the night across the UK to get their copy of probably the most anticipated game of 2014, “Titanfall”. Exclusive to Xbox, the game is expected to break Xbox One sales records and be one of the best-selling titles this year. To celebrate the launch, free runners dressed as Pilot characters from the game performed stunts for London commuters along Millennium Bridge and the South Bank, emulating the abilities of players in the game. 

Back for its seventh year, the International Music Summit returns to Ibiza for 2014 at the new Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza with a speaker line-up assembled  from every aspect of the electronic music industry including artists, labels, executives, managers, agents and much more. The electronic music and technology-driven summit will bring together some of the genre’s most important and influential decision makers. This year’s theme is ‘Filtering the Future’ and will focus on the curatorial opportunities for the genre – in a world of overload, how do things manage to cut through? The event is hosted by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong MBE.

DJ and producer Steve Lawler releases his new single ‘Do Ya’ today, on his own VIVa MUSiC.  Lawler’s latest entry into his label’s ever-expanding catalogue stitches together the groovy feel that he regularly instills into dance floors worldwide. John Digweed will be celebrating the landmark 500^th episode of his Transitions Radio Show by broadcasting live for the first time ever, direct from his Annual Sunset Cruise, from 1600 EST on Thursday, 27 March. Taking over the airwaves live from the high seas just off Miami’s coastline, and presenting four hours of underground music, Transitions 500 will be the first of five shows that the Bedrock label boss will be playing in Miami this month.

Maya Jane Coles, the multi-award-winning 26-year old British-Japanese producer/DJ, presents another new chapter in her career, following her debut album ‘Comfort’, to provide the latest in fabric’s compilation series, ‘fabric 75’.

Rulin returns to celebrate its 20^th birthday on Saturday 29 March at Ministry of Sound with a special appearance by the Godfather of House, Frankie Knuckles. The UK’s house night, Rulin was responsible for bringing over many of the US house and garage masters and helped transform dance music culture in the process, leaving an indelible mark on Britain’s clubbing landscape. 

UK house DJ/producer, Huxley, recently announced a new spring tour, taking in 14 dates in 18 days and covering the US as well as Canada and Mexico. Kicking off in Philadelphia on 12^th March and running until the final day of the WMC on the 30^th, the tour sees him play alongside the likes of Julio Bashmore, Tensnake and Ida Engberg.

Pig & Dan’s Elevate label could be set to go from strength to strength in 2014 with a series of new releases planned. Pig & themselves return home for the label’s 12th release with two techno productions – the mind-bendingly ‘Slash’, and the equally disturbingly ‘Where The Wild Things Are’.  

UK singer, songwriter, performer and entertainer, Natasha Watts recently released her self-titled debut album for SedSoul. Showcasing Natasha’s songwriting and performance skills, this debut has a cross section of soulful Bossa to ‘80s fused R&B and classic soulful grooves, laced with heartfelt sweet melodies reaching down to the nitty gritty lyrics and smooth tones. 

After making an impact with his track, ‘My Love’ – now heading to the top of the UK singles charts – and producing a track for Katy B’s ‘Little Red’ album, 19-year old Route 94 is back with his debut ‘Fly 4 Life’ EP on Defected Records.

Fedde Le Grand’s ‘Don’t Give Up’, which steams in after 11 minutes to Final Kid’s backdrop on UMF’s 15^th edition after-movie, has had a TBC attached to its release since September last year. Loco Dice's USED + ABUSED event series hits the Surfcomber Hotel on Sunday 30 March. Featuring an all-star cast of artists that played at USED + ABUSED in Ibiza in 2013, the event is set to re-create the open-air atmosphere of last summer. 

Paul Oakenfold brings his Perfecto Records to Club Space for a Miami Music Week party on Wednesday 26 March. Paul headlines the party with his special “Trance Mission” DJ set that brings a modern day twist to some of trance music’s most beloved tracks. 

Cream recently announced that Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike will be performing three exclusive shows this May Bank Holiday weekend in Manchester, London and Liverpool as part of their ‘Smash The House’ UK Tour. The brotherly duo, whose live combination of DJ Sets and MCing has catapulted this Belgian duo to superstardom.

Sónar  Barcelona recently launched the "almost complete" for this year’s event, which includes Chic feat. Nile Rodgers, Röyksopp & Robyn, Lykke Li, Todd Terje, Boys Noize, a 2020Vision showcase, Massive Attack, Richie Hawtin, Caribou, Rudimental, Four Tet and Woodkid all at Sonar by Night. 

Laurent Garnier is returning to American soil this April with a string of dates, taking him to major cities across the US including two appearances at Coachella Music and Arts Festival. Known for putting audiences into a trance on the dancefloor, his live performances see him grooving behind the decks, demonstrating his true passion for rich sound.

Cosmic Gate recently revealed plans of their Winter Music Conference movements. Having been bunkered down over the last few months, putting the last finishing touches to their new artist album, Miami will be the place where you’ll be hearing premiere spins of many of its new tracks. For three straight weeks in March, Grammy-nominated Dirty South will be the man behind the camera, taking to the streets of the city he currently calls home and making Los Angeles the backdrop for his new cinematic journey. 

Protocol Recordings boss, Nicky Romero, presents ‘Miami 2014’, a compilation profiling the current sound of the Dutch DJ/producer. Coming to Beatport on Monday 10 March and iTunes on Monday 17 March, the compilation features many tracks including exclusives from artists such as Amersy, Chris Kaeser and John Christian. 

Defected and Giuseppe Cipriani recently announced that Defected In The House will return to BoOom! Ibiza for a 20-week long season: every Tuesday night from 20 May 2014 until 30 September 2014. The Defected In The House Opening Party will mark the very start of the summer season - Tuesday 20 May – one day ahead of the International Music Summit (IMS).

This month, Carl Cox celebrates the 10^th year of his Carl Cox & Friends arena at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. In the beginning, Carl had wanted to create a festival within a festival, a place where people could experience music on a deeper level by artists who understand how to take their audience on a real musical journey - an antithesis of the formulaic one hour sets that litter main stages by so-called ‘superstar DJs.’

Thomas Gold headlines Ministry of Sound this Saturday 8March. The DJ from Berlin, who’s signed to Axwell’s Axtone label, has produced a string of big room club tracks for the label including ‘Remember’, ‘Agora’ and ‘Miao’ as well as tracks ‘Marsch Marsch’ on Toolroom and ‘Eyes Wide Open’ on Phazing. 

Fresh from his Beatport top 10 hitting remix of Svenson’s ‘Sunlight Theory’ last month, Richard Durand returns for his first release of 2014 with ‘Morning Light’. Fusing elements of his traditional sound with some different sonic threads, the result is a good one and it’s out now Magik Muzik.   

Dannic and Dyro are teaming up once more as they prepare for this year’s WMC in Miami. After their Daftastic VS Front of House party at last year’s ADE, the two Dutch house artists are taking the same party ethos to Miami, as a ‘Radical,’ new concept. The party will take place at Wall, Miami on Sunday 30 March and takes its name from the co-production from the two Revealed Recordings’ artist. 

The latest track from Glasgow Underground comes from a new collaboration between existing GU talent, Illyus and Barrientos. ‘Do Anything You Wanna’ is a two-track EP from the pair who have previously remixed Grum together (picking up support from Pete Tong’s Essential Selection straight off the bat) and delivered solo EPs for GU, Morris Audio and Seven Music.

Affie Yusuf is next up on Superfreq with a pair of tracks that come complete with remixes from label boss Mr. C and Superfreq regulars Indigo Kidz. Affie has long been producing house and acid both solo and as part of House of 909 and Traffik with Trevor Loveys. 

The second round of Late Night Sessions at the Albert Hall has was recently announced taking in the likes of Chase & Status, Sasha's Last Night On Earth Show and Marco Carola. The new series of club shows from The Warehouse Project + Trof which launched with Moderat in early February, takes place at Manchester's Albert Hall.

Having recently kicked off his Trashed residency with the Wynn in Las Vegas, Tommy Trash is bringing his Trashed parties down to Miami Music Week at the end of the month. Tommy and crew will be taking over Set Nightclub on Thursday 27 March and Nikki Beach for No Sugar Added on Friday 28 March.
