Toolroom Records’ latest release, ‘Ibiza Deep 2014’, offers a collection of deep grooves and big basslines, showcasing some of 2014’s best-selling tracks.

House music’s Masters At Work return to Ministry of Sound for the first time in six years to headline Defected In the House on Saturday 9 August. Kenny Dope and Little Louie Vega will be channelling their trademark New York house and garage sound at the hugely popular Defected In The House party.  

The fact that Danny Tenaglia has never been out of favour with the house and techno fraternity is testament to what a talented and passionate DJ/producer he remains to this day, some 30 years since he began DJing in Brooklyn, NYC. Honouring the Balance label with his first compilation in six years and adding to a body of mixes that includes some classics, Tenaglia continues the custom of bringing something special and unique to the cool Australian series.

After starting summer with a bang, unleashing Volume 1 of his new release series 'Moody Warehouse Music', DJ Sneak keeps the music coming by releasing Vol. 2 on Magnetic Recordings! 'Moody Warehouse Music Vol.2'  kicks off with 'Didn't Know Nothing', which is armed with driving beats and a dark pulsating bassline. 'I Need My Baby' comes with a girly vocal hook that rides over a jackin’ groove of signature Sneak beats. 

Away from the techno they’ve produced for labels including Cocoon and their own Elevate imprint, Pig&Dan have created an album honouring the musicians and singers they’ve met and who’ve inspired them throughout their career. The album entitled ‘Destination Unknown’ holds no boundaries, fusing together genres and styles far beyond electronic music’s own (increasingly broad) spectrum.

Setting off from their London office on 12 October 12, the Resident Advisor team will cycle 300 miles, across four countries, to Amsterdam for this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event. This will be their first fundraising challenge as part of an annual commitment to supporting charities, good causes and music initiatives that they believe in. Resident Advisor will be joined for the four-day adventure by leading artists and industry figures.

North of England club brand, Hau5, recently announced Newcastle's very first two day electronic music festival. Innovation not imitation is the motto for one of the North’s most intense and possibly successful event brands. Hau5 has been delivering a display of special effects, pyrotechnics, fireworks and live musicians with its brand of big-scale event production and now, their next step is Hau5 – The Festival.

Dutchman Dyro entered DJ Mag’s Top 100 at the entry position of #30 and claimed the feat of the youngest, highest new entry throughout the history of the poll. Now he gets set to launch his new label, WOLV and readying the foundations for its debut, the self-titled single from the young head of the imprint is set for release come 11 August. 

Longevity in the world of dance music is a rare characteristic, as labels, producers and DJs come and go. So, for Parisian Phil Weeks and his Robsoul imprint, 15 years of pumping out underground house music is a cause for celebration and this August, they’ll be doing just that. To mark their 15 years in the business, Robsoul are releasing a special anniversary compilation, which will be released in three parts during the month.  

Mike & Claire Manumission return to Ibiza with Lynne Ramsay, Seth Troxler, Howard Marks, Skin, Samantha Morton all curating evenings throughout August as part of Phantasmagoria. Evening events will also see some of the world’s best classically trained dancers as well as a performance on the terrace from the London Electronic Orchestra, with Ivan Smagghe, Derrick Carter, Matthew Herber and Skream all leading the music every Friday at Booom! Ibiza.  

Label boss Justin James launches a new podcast series from his recently birthed record label refused. - which will be featuring an exclusive artist from the label each month. The first episode features Belgium duo Cactus Twisters with one hour of fresh techno through your speakers. 

Grammy-nominated producer BT and triple platinum singer-songwriter Christian Burns have revealed that their new group, All Hail The Silence, will open for synthpop group Erasure on The Violet Flame North American tour this autumn/fall. Long-time friends and artistic collaborators many times over, the announcement joins the unveiling of BT and Christian's single, ‘Paralyzed’ which will be released on Enhanced Records in the near future and was debuted on Sirius XM's BPM on 22 July. 

This autumn sees the release of Sam Smith’s new single release ‘I’m Not The Only One’, taken from his multi-platinum selling album ‘In The Lonely Hour’ which debuted at No.1 in the UK charts and No.2 on the US Billboard Top 200 earlier this year. The album has sold over 1.3 million copies globally, breaking records in America as the highest first week sales for a UK male artist in the SoundScan era.

Pagano makes his Ibiza debut at Matinee at Amnesia on 23 August and also plays the biggest gay festival in the world, Barcelona's Circuit Festiva, held 6-18 August. His new track, ‘My Pumpin Bassline’, is signed to Umek's 1605 label and he is also mixing the Circuit Festival CD, from the LBGT event of the same name.

With their last collaboration bringing decent success, a Genix/Las Salinas return with ‘Arcadia’. Las Salinas' Israel Bicher and Shaulli Harrari have gotten back studio-side with tech-trance producer Genix for the 'Say Another What' sequel. 

On the evening of 6 November 2013, at the invitation of Raf Simons of Dior, a special Plastikman live show composed of entirely new material took place at the Guggenheim Museum, NYC. The album, ‘EX’, was released in June, and then days after its release, a second performance took place at the Sónar festival in Barcelona. Plastikman has now unveiled a live recording of ‘EXhale’ from the performance last month - the Sónar Live Mix – available as an MP3 / AIFF.

French house DJ/producer Bob Sinclar is set to play Ministry of Sound this Saturday 26 July. His special guest appearance at the club follows his recently released track, ‘Everybody’ with DJ Roland Clark, showing that Bob is back on his game and ready to impress with his blend of vocals, instrumentals and rhythm tracks.

Following his ‘Driving Me Wild’ EP released back in 2013, Leeds based DJ/producer Joe Cowie aka Kahwe drops his second release on Anjunadeep with ‘Sit Back’. Title track ‘Sit Back’ shimmers into life through soft pads, shifting percussion and subtle intonations, a catchy cut full of organic grooves and laidback melodies.

Hauswerks has possibly been one of the UK’s unsung heroes of electronic music for quite some time now, having racked up a string of material on leading imprints such as Suara, Azuli, Great Stuff and 303 Lovers, as well as engineering for many of the industry's leading names. Here he returns to Moda Black, following a slew of EPs and single cuts on the imprint over the past few years.

On the weekend of 8-10 August, the Mixmag Live Weekender takes place at The Rainbow’s ‘Next Door’ & ‘Textile Factory’ venues in Birmingham, where various big names from the underground house and techno world will play a night party, afternoon party and after party.

Secret Life Records and Marini’s on 57 recently released a new compilation put together by Jose Padilla. Featuring tracks old and new, the mix showcases the DJ’s eclectic style and at the same time offering up exactly the sort of musical experience you can expect at Marini’s, a lounge, bar and restaurant that is Kuala Lumpur’s answer to Café Del Mar. Marini’s on 57 celebrated the second anniversary of its Sunset Hours recently with a special one night only performance by Jose and patrons were treated to cocktails and champagne accompanied with a sensual array of music. 

Pig&Dan’s Elevate label is going from strength to strength in 2014 with a series of releases. Next up is Canada’s Jay Tripwire, possibly one of the most influential innovators around. His fusion of deep Detroit textures and intricate rhythms breaks down genre divides, covering all bases between deep house and techno. Now he has just released ‘The Beast’ and four accompanying tracks, including two collaborations with Pig&Dan on their label.

Toolroom Knights recently announced a brand new summer residency at BOOOM Ibiza for the 2014 season. Running every Monday from 21 July until 22 September, the season will see the brand descend on the Ibiza nightspot with a bang. Led by Grammy-nominated label leader Mark Knight, BOOOM will be treated to a series of diverse line-ups representing the musical range Toolroom is known for.

‘Changing’ sees Sigma aka Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie, collaborate with Paloma Faith and a full orchestra for the follow-up to their No.1 single, ‘Nobody To Love’. ‘Changing’ was premiered on Radio 1 courtesy of Annie Mac (Special Delivery, 11/7/14) and went straight in at 119 on Shazam from the first play alone. Further support comes from Kiss and Capital. 

Dutch DJ/producer Nicky Romero embraces the latest technology in his latest marketing campaign. In a campaign entitled #callnicky – fans are invited to interact with the star by entering their phone number at www.callnickyromero.com. Moments later, Nicky Romero is seen via video - there are nine scenarios in total - dialling the number followed by what appears to be a live conversation with the caller. 

Ibiza Rocks Group recently announced that this will be the final year of Mallorca Rocks. After five seasons operating the summer-long series of open-air gigs at the Mallorca Rocks Hotel, the brand have made the decision to leave the resort of Magaluf at the end of the summer in order to focus on expansion plans both in Ibiza and globally.

Early DJ support comes from Jackmaster, 2manydj's, Soul Clap, Dixon, Brodinski, Boys Noize, Heidi and more. With an eye on his forthcoming artist album, ‘Bugatti’ is classic Tiga. Co-written with Jori Hulkonnen (aka Zyntherius of ‘Sunglasses at Night’) at Montreal’s famous Lost Star Studios, the track follows the two previous Tiga vs Audion singles, ‘Let’s Go Dancing’ and ‘Fever’.

In the midst of spearheading the Defected15 international club tour, UK house duo Copyright return with their new two-track ‘Move Over EP’ on Defected Records.

Voting opens at 12.30am BST tomorrow, Sunday 13 July for DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs Poll. 2013’s edition saw a new winner in the form of Dutchman, Hardwell; the Dutch DJ/producer replaced five-times No.1 Armin van Buuren. At 25 years old, Hardwell became the Poll’s youngest ever winner and last year’s Poll apparently received votes from over 750,000 people and from more than 200 countries.

Freemasons are back with the ‘Shakedown 3’ EP, which is out 1 August on Freemason Recordings, and features exclusive productions from their forthcoming ‘Shakedown 3’ artist album, including edits and DJ-friendly extended mixes. The EP is a taster of what dance music fans can expect to hear from their album release.

No stranger to Vandit, the front end of the summer has already seen an Irish lass Orla Feeney’s release with the 'Lilyhammer EP'. There it was from the instrumentalism of the 2014 rework of 'Comic Stripped' and its title track that possibly took up residence in a host of well known DJs sets and radio track lists. 

British D&B DJ/producer, Roni Size, recently announced a new album and EP due for release later this summer. Both projects will be released on his new label, Mansion Sounds. Size has also revealed that Reprazent will return later this year, with a new album set for release in early 2015.

Following the platinum-selling release of ‘Kids’ at the end of 2013 and his subsequent single ‘The Game’ in April of this year, Swedish Style of Eye (Linus Eklow) now returns to announce the forthcoming release of his sophomore studio album, ‘Footprints’.

Body of Songs is a new music and science adventure that brings together some of Britain's most talented musicians and medical experts to create a collection of songs inspired by the organs of the body. Body of Songs launches its first two songs by artists Ghostpoet and Goldie, composing the Liver and Brain respectively.

Francesco ‘Phra’ Barbaglia, AKA Crookers’ ‘Able To Maximize’ remix package is out now via Ciao Records. The set includes 'Dirty Dutch’ producer Chuckie, house duo Franskild, UK bass stars MAO, English garage/bass newcomer Suck Fake and fellow Italian and label mate Digi G’alessio.

Ministry of Sound will be hosting a Cuff showcase with Amine Edge & DANCE headlining on Bank Holiday Sunday 24 August from 10pm ‘til 6am. The duo from Marseille, France, have created their own madly unique house music style they call the ‘G-House’ sound. A real grind-up of musical influences, it includes essences of suave Washington soul, the groove of Philly's funk, NYC rap slang and the Vertigo of vogueing from the first houses parties of Chicago.

After just a few days on sale, My Digital Enemy’s ‘Don’t Give Up’ is already doing well on the Beatport house chart. For long-time producers Serg and Kieron, who have already enjoyed success with a string of releases this year, this latest track is yet another example of why the Brighton based duo have got their signature system-shaking house sound nailed to a tee. 

After enjoying club success and peaking at #4 on the Beatport charts in March, DJ/producer Eric Prydz is to release brand new single ‘Liberate’ on 27 July via Virgin EMI. Now based in Los Angeles, Prydz closed out 2013 with his ‘Epic 2.0‘ tour, taking in dates across New York, Chicago and LA, as well as the news that his Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 was voted ‘Essential Mix Of The Year’ by the station’s listeners.

Leeds-born-L.A.-based Rusko returns from a year-long slumber with new EP ‘!’, his introduction to a new era of sound exploration. On ‘!’, he explores possibly every combination of sound, folding bass-heavy harmonies into a funky D&B beat on opening track ‘Like A Boss’.

International DJ, Dash Berlin, returns to The Gallery at Ministry of Sound this Friday 4 July following his sold out show in March.
