The final coda of the LCD Soundsystem saga will arrive this Record Store Day, 19 April, when Parlophone releases ‘The Long Goodbye: LCD Soundsystem Live At Madison Square Garden’, a five-LP vinyl unabridged recording of LCD Soundsystem's near four-hour April 2, 2011 farewell show at New York's Madison Square Garden. On 19 May, this vinyl box set will hit retailers en masse and will be released digitally as well. 

PixMob Video will be used for the first time outside of the Super Bowl by Tiësto as part of his residency at Hakkasan Las Vegas beginning tonight and then at the remainder of his shows there in 2014. 2,500 clubbers will be wearing LED wristbands generating wireless video effects in sync with his music. Pulsating with light as one organism, the crowd will become a canvas for Tiësto’s visuals, creating an immersive experience seen only at the US Superbowl. 

Following its fourth consecutive sell-out in 2013, Creamfields once again returns to Daresbury in Cheshire this August Bank Holiday weekend with its biggest electronic line up to date, featuring an array of exclusive performances from some of the world’s biggest dance acts.  

Detroit’s Terrence Parker recently revealed his new single 'When Loves The Feeling' for GFY Black label. Armed with pure house feeling and a flavour of "how we used to do…", the track brings amore right back to dance floor central where it belongs, with its bumping ‘90s bass and classic beats laced with highly infectious vocal and classic piano hooks. On remix duty are label boss' Kenny Summit and Lenny RX who inject some punchy beats and dramatic breakdowns.

On Thursday 27 March, Dutch imprint Revealed Recordings touches down in Miami for another party at Mansion Nightclub on Washington Avenue. Featuring a line-up including Revealed artists, new talents and more, the night plans to showcase an eclectic, yet refined selection of festival anthems.

After last year’s 20^th year sun-kissed celebrations, T in the Park is back and set to enter its third decade with another big weekend featuring some of the world’s biggest artists. DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager recently announced a cast of acts which are Balado-bound this summer, to entertain the 85,000-strong daily crowd over 11^th – 13^th July.

Dimensions has just revealed its worldwide launch parties, uniting together promoters from all over the world to showcase electronic music in their region from Brussels to Sydney to Chicago. Taking in over 50 dates, the parties take place in Robert Johnson, Rex Club and Grelle Forelle to name just a few. 

The UK’s Josh Butler, drops the ‘No Frills’ EP via Kerri Chandler’s MadTech Records this March. Josh has been steadily bubbling away on the British underground for quite some time now, and it seems 2014 could possibly see Butler truly shine with a busy touring schedule already locked in for the year. Material on Love Not Money and OFF Recordings further brought to light Josh’s talents and now the Leeds based producer joins the MadTech roster, following the footsteps of Celsius, Mia Dora and No Artificial Colours.

Clubbers that arrived at The Mid in Chicago, USA on Saturday night were greeted with a very special surprise set from legendary DJ duo Deep Dish. Although it was their first set together as Deep Dish since 2006, DJs Dubfire and Sharam didn’t miss a beat in one of house music’s great cities.

1605 and Deeperfect host The Clevelander in Miami on 26 March. As part of Miami Music Week, the two techno/tech house labels join together to shake Ocean Drive and bring some hot European sounds to Miami. Following a successful debut on Deadmau5's mau5trap recordings, Canadian producer Eekkoo returns with another big dancefloor track. Forged during recent studio sessions, ‘Kyng’ is a piece of raw, hypnotic tech house, bolstered by Eekkoo’s signature clean sound design, and he’s giving the track away as a free download. As it straddles the line between simple minimalism and rave-ready power, the track is already proving to be popular.

2013 saw Jason Chue AKA Wookie, release his own track 'The Hype' featuring Eliza Doolittle (Strictly Rhythm) and remix (amongst others) Disclosure’s 'Voices' (PMR/Island) and Wilkinson’s 'Too Close' (Ram/Virgin). All three records gained continued support from Radio One’s Annie Mac, Toddla T and Rob Da Bank, Kiss FM’s DJ EZ and 1Xtra’s MistaJam, DJ Target and Cameo.

The remix counterpart, ‘Dim Mak Greatest Hits 2013: Remixes’ is out February 25, and highlights all the best remixes from Dim Mak artists and friends from the label in 2013.

Noah Francis Johnson releases his first solo album entitled ‘Life & Times’ on 24 February, published by Universal Publishing, Last Ten Music Group and distributed by Warner Music. Noah’s career has catapulted since touring the UK and Europe supporting the likes of Jamiroquai, Lenny Kravitz as well as soul and jazz poet Gil Scott Heron to name a few. 

Machine returns to Corsica Studios on 28 February with a three-hour set from DVS1, UK Debuts for Tripeo (live) and Sandrien as well as sets from Darko Esser and Machine co-founder, Kirk Degiorgio. Currently enjoying attention for his new Mistress Recordings imprint, Zak Khutoretsky aka DVS1’s three-hour set is shorter that what the DJ has become known for.

In a comparatively short time frame Holland’s Sander van der Waal released his debut album on In Trance We Trance, before changing lanes for the new creative aesthetic of its Magik Muzik follow-up. Now, in 2014, he completes that initial three-album arc with ‘Full Circle’. For this new long-player, the spectrum of Van der Waal’s sound becomes ever yet more expansive as the album frequency hops across genre bands, often inside the confines of a single track.

secretsundaze recently announced their first party of their 13^th season in London, at Electric, Brixton on Easter Thursday. After sell out shows there with Nina Kraviz last Spring and Levon Vincent this NYE, they return with a mix of old and new skool DJs that should please both house and techno fans alike.

Paul van Dyk recently revealed his dates for this year’s Miami Music Week. At the moment, Paul will play at Dream on Washington Avenue, Space in Downtown Miami, gig on a Miami Sunset Cruise, and then finish the week on 30 March at the Ultra Music Festival at Bayfront Park. Cedric Gervais, who recently picked up the Best Remixed Recording Grammy for his reworking of Lana Del Ray’s ‘Summertime Sadness’, comes to London for his Ministry of Sound debut at Saturday Sessions this weekend (22^nd). The French-born DJ will be flying in from his Miami base to join Wolfpack, Tim Mason and resident Tim Cullen in The Box.

The man behind Revealed Recordings, Hardwell, who was recently voted as the world’s #1 DJ by DJ Magazine, has breached yet another landmark by amassing four million Facebook “likes.” To reciprocate the support shown to him by his fans, Hardwell is inviting them to join him for an exclusive, hour-long Q&A session with him via Facebook today at 17.00 CET.

Danish DJ and producer Morten is heading into deeper and techier territory with his upcoming release ‘Perfect Dive’, out March 7 on Ultra Music. Orchestrated strings are juxtaposed with a deep bassline, coming together to create a thoughtfully developed sound that is equally suited to an underground warehouse as it is to a festival stage. 

JES recently released the platinum mix of her ‘Unleash The Beat’ series on Magik Muzik. Armada Music and Toolroom Records recently announced a collaboration for future releases in the Benelux region. The move is part of Armada Music expanding into different territories and genres of music, enhancing and broadening their reach with the well-established Toolroom Records. 

Out on the 28^th of next month, ‘A State of Trance 2014’, mixed and compiled by Armin van Buuren should be another biggie. Within the course of six weeks, Armin will celebrate the 650^th episode of the A State of Trance radio show with nine events in cities all across the globe. Next to that, Armin also hosts his ‘Armin Only – Intense’ world tour this year, with more than 20 dates in cities such as New York, Sydney, Johannesburg, Moscow and more. 

Tigerlily seems to be making all the right moves with ‘Faith’. Together with German duo 2Less, she delivers a haunting modern main room track, with polished production skills magnified by the vocal from KA$H. This purple locked Sydney native has arrived in the public eye in a whirlwind of rainbow and glitter, and the Australian electronic music scene seem to be enjoying her. 

Markus Schulz recently announced that he’s taking his forthcoming artist album, ‘Scream 2’, on the road for an 18-wheel trek across the USA and Canada throughout April. Recently, in Los Angeles, Markus sold out the Sound Club months in advance and played before an intimate crowd who were hungry for the big room sound in close quarters. 

This year’s Miami WMC gets set for Mark Knight’s Toolroom Knights as it goes head to head with Chus & Ceballos’ Stereo Productions at the Raleigh on Collins Avenue. The Raleigh Pool is an opulent and stunning place and should be a great setting for these two top dance music brands.

The Electric Frog and Pressure’s Riverside Festival in Glasgow, UK recently announced the first batch of acts on the line-up including Sunday headliner Jamie Jones plus Andrew Weatherall, Aphrohead aka Felix Da Housecat, Derrick Carter, Derrick May, Moritz Von Oswald, DJ Sneak, Slam, Sunday Circus, Tiga, Visionquest, Vitalic (live) will all appear over the weekend.

Float Your Boat is the all-new weekly Ibiza boat party for Carl Cox's Revolution and We Love… Sundays @ Space, taking place every Sunday from 8 June to 28 September before We Love and every Tuesday from 24 June to 23 September before Carl Cox’s Revolution. burn Residency recently announced Pete Tong as one of the burn Residency mentors for 2014. Over a successful career of more than 25 years, Pete Tong has become synonymous with dance music. Often referred to as the Global Ambassador for electronic music, Pete’s influence on both the genre he champions and the artists within it cannot be overstated. His BBC Radio 1 show is into its 22nd year, and arguably still the chosen channel for dance music fans to find out the latest tracks.

Hot on the heels of ‘Move Into Light’ and remix duty on US duo Tritonal’s ‘Now Or Never’, Enhanced Music’s Juventa recently revealed that the next track to receive his spin will be one synonymous with one of the most successful video games of all time – Grand Theft Auto V. His reimagining of ‘Sleepwalking’ by The Chain Gang Of 1974 is set for release on Monday 10^th March exclusively through Beatport.

Prok & Fitch return to Toolroom Records with the recently released, ‘Man With Soul’, featuring the vocals of Max Linen. Following the success of their 'Toolroom Knights' album at the close of last year and recent BBC Radio 1 support from Steve Angello and NERVO, 2014 may well be Prok & Fitch’s biggest year yet.

Nicky Romero and his Protocol Recordings label returns with "Miami Reboot," aiming to depart from the WMC standards to "reboot" the system and create something revolutionary. Taking place during the day from 2PM to 11PM at LIV Ocean Club at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Protocol's Miami Reboot will host a lineup featuring Nicky Romero & friends. 

Like many tracks of its nature, ‘Bassline’ began its journey as an underground track and has since risen to possibly become somewhat of an anthem. Defected Records released the Bristolian duo GotSome’s debut last year, with ‘Bassline’ promptly climbing No. 4 in the Beatport House chart. Now, with so much remix potential the track has been picked apart by some of the greatest minds in house music.

Ray Foxx is back with a brand new release following on from his top 40 summer track, ‘Boom Boom (Heartbeat)’ and the funk infused ‘Fireworks’. This time he joins forces on the production with Australian bassmaker, Tom Piper and Ayah Marar steps up on the vocal delivery following her collaboration with Calvin Harris on ‘Thinking About You’. Together the trio create this dynamic, bass heavy, synth infused track, topping it off with a heavy percussion filled backdrop.

Crytek and Microsoft Studios recently announced the launch of a public beta for Warface Xbox 360 Edition. Fans of the free-to-play online first-person shooter can be among the first to experience the co-operative and competitive multiplayer action on Xbox 360, leading up to the game’s launch this Spring.

The 2014 Movement Electronic Music Festival, taking place Memorial Day weekend (May 24-26) inside Detroit’s Hart Plaza, recently announced its phase two lineup featuring, amongst others, Marco Carola, Boys Noize, Maceo Plex; trap music stars and Mad Decent label mates, Baauer, RiFF RAFF, DJ Snake, Flosstradamus; and hip-hop producer, Just Blaze.

After an extended timeout, lasting more than a half-decade, Ben Lost has returned to the director’s chair of Lost Language. Possibly one of trance and progressive’s most eminent imprints, over its near 15-year label lifetime it has been the springboard for the careers of various producers. To mark his retaking of its A&R reins, and a new waypoint in the label’s history, he’s mixed the fifth episode of its 'Exhibition' mix-series.

On February 11, the first update will be delivered to customers who sign into their Xbox One.  It features many new improvements – including lots of behind-the-scenes updates for developers building apps and games for Xbox One, several new features we believe Xbox fans will love, stability and product updates to improve the customer experience, and continuous improvements to the quality of Kinect voice so commands become more fluid and responsive over time.  While we won’t be going into all of the details of the product updates today, we will be sharing more information soon. 

2014 is already shaping up to be a decent year for Mixmash Records. The first release for the label head honcho, Laidback Luke, comes in the form of a collaboration with Project 46 and Collin McLoughlin, entitled ‘Collide’. The official video premiered on Vice’s Thump recently, and features two young friends who attempt to build the perfect man for their beautiful neighbour. 

With two tracks in as many weeks, DJ Green Lantern is back with his newest cut of 2014. Revisiting the ‘Know About Me’ beat dropped just prior to Christmas with counterpart Valentino Kahn, the duo now have a topline in tow from songstress Iggy Azalea. Courtesy of Iggy and the production talent of the two, ‘Know About Me’’s vocal remix is creating plenty of hype before its February 11 release date.

British producer Gareth Emery is back with ‘U’, a brand new song featuring Bo Bruce that’s out today on his own label, Garuda. It’s the first single from his brand new album, ‘Drive’, set for release 1 April and creates an insight into what the forthcoming album has to offer. The track is a love song with ethereal vocals and euphoric synths combined to create a nice slab of music. 

A new nocturnal space is being carved out in London by a group of like minded people held together by a desire to put on parties that offer forward looking line-ups and late night experiences for a musically educated west London crowd. The name of the club is Qube, located in a basement in Victoria, and it launches on 21 February.

burn Residency returns this year and the competition starts with entrants providing a mix, which may lead all the way to possibly becoming the next superstar DJ. The next DJ established through this competition will receive a 100.000 EUR DJ-contract to kickstart his or her road to superstardom and play gigs around the globe.

Dutch DJ/producers Isaac and F8trix come together to lock Hardstyle horns for this soundclash brought to you by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s Smash The House imprint. Responsible for some big records of the past 12 months, Smash The House are kicking open the doors of 2014 with ‘Groupie Love’, which should set the tone for the year ahead!

Leftroom Records kicks off 2014 with a remix EP for Huxley & Sam Russo’s, ‘Don’t Undastand’ which sees label boss Matt Tolfrey deliver a remix while Chicago-born Honey Dijon supplies a NYC Mix alongside a Chi-town Boogie Mix.

Brand new for 2014, UK production duo, Christian B & Lavvy Levan, make their entrance to the house scene, launching Friday Fox Recordings with their four-tracker, 'Toe In Water EP'. The EP kicks off the party with 'It's on!', a deep and disco tinged outing that introduces Lavvy's laddish vocal, which features on all four tracks. 

Todd Terry serves another jam in the form of ‘Feel The Sun’, which comes with remixes from youngTEE, Mineo, Howson’s Groove and Sona Vabos. In his time, New York City’s Todd Terry has been Grammy nominated and has turned out seminal hits like ‘Keep On Jumpin’, ‘Somethin’ Going On’, ‘I’ll House You’ and has released on well established labels like Get Physical, Cadenza and Toolroom. This new single is made as a celebration of the global return of house music into the public’s conscious. 

Scotland's electronic music festival Electric Frog returns this May Bank Holiday weekend with the Electric Frog & Pressure Riverside Festival. Organisers recently revealed plans to add a second day and return to the Riverside Museum site in Glasgow, UK for the second consecutive year for the 2014 instalment.
