In My Room Recordings recently announced ‘Lost’, the third full-length album from Anders Trentemøller. ‘Lost’ is much like its predecessor ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’ and serves not only as a logical continuation of his work, but also as yet another fuck-you to whatever genre you thought you had him boxed into. The Trentemøller sound is definitely left intact, yet as a whole it really doesn't sound like anything he’s ever produced before. 

Sven Väth’s Cocoon label now turns attentions to Ibiza for its next double disc mix release. Artists at the helm are long time associate Ilario Alicante and new signing Alejandro Mosso, the first of whom offers a mix that is basically the sound of summer in Ibiza, whilst Mosso offers up a live set made entirely from his own productions and remixes.

Control, to be opened in September is a new project from the team behind The Warehouse club in Leeds. The project will be the biggest purpose built, multi-million pound music and dance venue in the North of England and is a brand new two room, 3100 capacity venue set across 25,000 sq ft. 

Fina Records returns this September with the ‘Cloud City’ EP from Powel. Powel aka Paul Christie is a Berlin based DJ/producer and a relatively fresh name on the underground house circuit. Christie has previously released material with Berlin-based label Keller, Wunderbar Recordings and Deliciuse, and here he joins the Fina roster slotting in alongside Move D, Cottam and Leif.

On August 6, Enhanced Music and Will Holland return with the sixth installment of the compilation series, ‘Digitally Enhanced’. The 2013 edition features more than 30 tracks from across the Enhanced family, including over 25 unreleased exclusives. The album once again ranges from the deeper side of progressive house through to uplifting euphoria, as Will Holland mixes together the melodic landscape of Enhanced.

Before EDM was coined there were record labels releasing dance music for the mass of DJs and club-goers already into house and dance music. For 20 years, King Street Sounds and sister labels have seen their fair share of floor-shakers hitting crowds from NY to Miami to Japan to Ibiza and beyond. To commemorate this milestone, King Street is celebrating some of the best foot-tappin, head-nodding releases with a special 20-track compilation. 

British label, Vinyl Solution, celebrates its 25^th anniversary this year by making its entire back catalogue available digitally for the first time. The anniversary is spearheaded by the re-release of Bizarre Inc’s classic ‘Playing With Knives’. Released on 28 July, the track has been reworked by Utah Saints, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Timothy Allan & Mark Loverush, and Magnus J, who are helping to introduce the track to a whole new generation of electronic music fans.

On Wednesday, July 31, Wisdom of the Glove presents a live performance from Nicolas Jaar at Destino Pacha Ibiza Resort – his only appearance in Ibiza this summer. Nicolas Jaar began making music at 14 and two years later released his first EP on the underground dance label Wolf + Lamb. His debut album, ‘Space Is Only Noise’, received four stars in the Guardian and was ranked #1 Album of the Year by Resident Advisor and Mixmag.  

The Warehouse Project returns this September for another 12-week series of events in Manchester. Check out the schedule for the 2013 season and there’s still more artists to be added over the coming weeks. There will also be full details on the closing parties which, as usual take place across New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Tickets for all shows will go on-sale at 9am tomorrow, Friday July 26.

Ministry of Sound continues with its new Ibiza residency tonight with MK, Wildkats, Amine Edge & Dance, STUFF and Pete Gooding. The dance brand returned to the White Isle with a residency at the newly refurbished Eden in San Antonio, which runs through to September 26 and features DJs including Breach, Darius Syrossian, Flashmob, Hector Couto and MK.

The culmination of last year’s PvD boat party saw Paul van Dyk rock the good ship Cream Ibiza and go from ‘decks to deck’, crowd-surfing the length of the ship. Now, one year later, PVD is back again with Cream Ibiza for another sunset cruise on Thursday August 1.

For the official Nu-Gen Launch Party on Saturday August 3, Dutchman Dyro arrives in Glasgow, UK at The Tunnel, one of the city’s legendary venues. With Dyro at the helm and some of Scotland's finest up and coming DJ talent in the other rooms, this looks like being a top Saturday night in the city centre.

Ministry of Sound will release ‘#hits’, a compilation of Example’s greatest hits on 5 August. The 16-track album features the No.1 singles ‘Stay Awake’ and ‘Changed The Way You Kiss Me’ taken from Example’s platinum selling album ‘Playing In The Shadows’, along with his Top 10 hits, ‘Won’t Go Quietly’, ‘Kickstarts’, ‘Say Nothing’, ‘Unorthodox’ (with Wretch 32) and ‘We’ll Be Coming Back’ (with Calvin Harris) and more.

Fresh off the back of Electric Daisy Carnival London, a partnership with Cream, Insomniac and Live Nation recently revealed themain stage production plans for Creamfields 2013 which will feature the biggest stage production ever seen in the UK. 

Released this week on Gareth Emery’s Garuda Music, UK-based artist Luke Bond's latest production, ‘Holding On’, features the vocals of Stephey and acts as a follow up to his last single on the label, ‘1Up’. The track received its exclusive first play on the Gareth Emery Podcast 240, which was followed by support from Armin van Buuren on ASOT 619. 

Greek DJ & producer Mihalis Safras has a long history in electronic music, having had an impact on both the tech house and techno scenes. Over the course of the last decade he has established himself as one of the hardest working artists in the industry, producing content of quality, quantity and substance. 

Café Olé Ibiza continues tomorrow with North American house music diva Ultra Naté as their new resident vocalist. As part of a five-week residency in total, finishing on August 12^th, Ultra Naté performs every Monday at Space. With a 22-year musical career, the singer, who reached worldwide popularity for having performed the soundtrack on the film Studio 54, has published six albums containing numerous chart-topping hits.

Defected Records finally get to launch their Ibiza season in full tonight as they kick off their highly anticipated new residency at the newly opened Booom! in Ibiza Town. With a successful club opening party taking place on Monday, Defected In The House will be taking up residency from tonight, kicking off with Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Copyright and Shovell on percussion.

After the success of 'World In Your Hands', Denis The Menace collaborates with one of Russia's top producers, namely, Alexey Romeo, to deliver 'Talking About Love', what they hope will be one of the records of the summer season.

On Sunday August 4, Colours brings Toolroom Records to Glasgow for a special doubleheader show as they celebrate Toolroom Ten by Day and By Night at The Barras Art & Design Centre (BAad) and SWG3 venues. Be warned though, tickets are limited to 500 per venue.

After releasing their debut production on a various artists EP back in late March, Indigo Kidz aka Mr.C & Affie Yusuf are now making a full debut on the former’s Superfreq label. Their ‘House EP’ was made in a London studio, was inspired by love, family and friendship and calls on hardware gear including Virus, Nord Lead 2 and a 303 for its authentic sound. 

‘Vegas to Ibiza’ is the latest chapter in Paul Oakenfold’s annual ‘We Are Planet Perfecto’ mix compilation series. On this volume Paul dedicates one CD each to the two most popular clubbing destinations in the world – Ibiza and Las Vegas. Following on from his original ‘80s life-changing trip to Ibiza, Paul Oakenfold’s involvement in the early stages of Las Vegas’ electronic scene was also to play a significant role in the subsequent rapid growth and evolution of the now gigantic EDM scene in the US. 

Twenty years on from its original release, Leftfield’s classic ‘Song Of Life’ gets a reworking from Mexican producer Betoko and a release on Hope Recordings complete with a great video from London street art photographer/director, Tim Davidson. 

Trap is a dance music sub genre that has become a personal favourite of Tiësto who’s been dropping the heavy bass in his sets throughout 2013. Now, he cements his support for trap with the July 30 release of ‘Trap Remix EP’ - Musical Freedom Records’ first trap music release.

FINA Records returns this month with a four-tracker from British producer Guy Andrews, entitled the ‘Annum’ EP. Guy has been a prominent name on the underground circuit as of late, racking up a back catalogue with releases and remixes for the likes of Hotflush, Hemlock and The Vinyl Factory. He’s also seen heavy support on the aforementioned singles from the likes of Lorca, The Black Dog and A1 Bassline, showing his understated take on house and techno. 

This year’s Bavarian Opera Festival prepares to accept Paul van Dyk across the musical gulf. On July 27, in the grand surrounds of the Munich National Theatre, as part of his show at the festival, he will electronically reinterpret some of the most celebrated works of Giuseppe Verdi, one of the most revered operatic composers of all time. Additionally, van Dyk will also be showcasing music from his highly anticipated seventh artist album ‘The Politics of Dancing 3’.

Back in February the Parisian trio, Apollonia, impressed so much with their sleek and deep fusion of house and grooves that they joined the fabric compilation series with ‘fabric 70’, which was released last month. Now they return to fabric's Room One on Saturday July 20 for an expansive back to back to back DJ set. Wagon Repair's Colin de la Plante aka The Mole, rounds off the lineup with an outing for his live show.   

Size Records, Steve Angello’s record label, is approaching its ten-year anniversary and to commemorate the birthday of the label, Size recently announced SIZE100, with 'SLVR' (pronounced ‘silver’). Teaming up with Russian duo Matisse & Sadko, this release should be another biggie for the label.

Goldfrapp release their new album ‘Tales Of Us’ through Mute on September 9. Their sixth album, ‘Tales Of Us’ is written and produced by band members Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory and was recorded at their studio in the English countryside.

Manchester’s Venus continuous the summer and what’s currently causing high levels of anticipation is the arrival on Friday July 19 of Roger Sanchez. The Grammy-award winning artist has remixed everyone from Kylie Minogue and Daft Punk to Madonna, The Police and No Doubt and the Stealth Records founder continues to champion fresh new talent to the scene, with his own latest track, ‘Troubleman’, already doing well in the clubs. And as well as Roger making his Venus debut, fellow US star Todd Terry is also dropping in on Friday 30^th August too.  

With his current single ‘Reload’ charting at #3 in the official UK midweek charts, with a possible No1 position later today, Refune Records founder/label boss and one third of Swedish House Mafia, Sebastian Ingrosso, recently announced he will headline London’s O₂ Academy Brixton on Saturday 14^th December 2013.

Cassy has compiled compilations for Cocoon and Panoramabar and is currently holding residencies at four of the world’s leading venues; Panoramabar in Berlin, Trouw in Amsterdam, Rex Club in Paris, and now Output in NYC. Born in London to a Caribbean father and Austrian mother, Cassy moved to Vienna at an early age, where surrounded by the ghosts of legendary composers in a city steeped in music history, Cassy’s love for music and the arts was nurtured by her parents.

With ‘Storm Chaser’ – their first single post the release of the ‘Wake Your Mind’ album - still doing well, Nic Chagall and Bossi aka Cosmic Gate are ready to make some heat again with their new track, ‘Crushed’. Making its first appearance on their Trance Nation mix-comp album in 2012, ‘Crushed’ became a popular request for crowds at C.G. gigs. Now, it’s all set for release on July 15.

Now in its second week, Judge Jules and his Judgement party returned to the island of Ibiza last Friday for another summer season of festivities with some of the scene’s biggest names, all enveloped in possibly one of the White Isle’s best atmospheres. Housed once again in Eden, the newly refurbished San Antonio club is possibly one of the biggest talking points on the West Coast of the island.

Night Engine, fresh their performances at The Great Escape, recently announced a run of three shows in London in August. The band will play consecutive Wednesdays (7^th / 14^th / 21^st August) at the St. Moritz club in Soho. The band have also confirmed an NME/Radio 1 stage slot at Reading & Leeds festival, a decent feat after just two singles. 

Two years on from the release of his Mercury nominated debut, ‘Peanut Butter Blues And Melancholy Jam’, Ghostpoet aka Obaro Ejimiwe releases ‘Cold Win’ - the second single from his sophomore album ‘Some Say I So I Say Light’ which came out May 2013 through Play It Again Sam.

Bridade Mondaine (Vice Squad in English) is the latest alternative beats and house imprint from French electronic label, Police Records.The label's debut release is from rising act, Daze, a talented young Parisian producer, churning out nu-funk grooves with his vintage synths, vocoders and talkboxes.

The Gruuv imprint returns this July in the shape of ‘Mesmerised’ by Coat Of Arms, backed with remixes from Darius Syrossian and Ejeca. Coat Of Arms, formerly Chris James and Eats Everything, now left solely in the capable hands of Chris alone, made a decent impact over the past few years, with singles and remixes for the likes of Pets Recordings, Futureboogie, OFF, Culprit and Leftroom.

Toolroom Records recently announced their plans to celebrate the label’s 10^th birthday. Toolroom Ten will run over the ten-week period from the end of July until the start of October and the label has a host of activities planned, including a ten date city tour, an album featuring the best of Toolroom’s releases, singles from their new breed of artists, as well as classic Toolroom tracks remixed. 

Pooldisco returns to Ibiza today, this time taking up residence at Santos in Playa Den Bossa. With some secret guests confirmed to play the opening party, their aim is for this to be like no other party in the sunshine... dance on the floor or swim in the pool, anything apparently goes in Ibiza.

Andy Wright, Ben Wiggett and Simon “Bassline” Smith aka Drumsound & Bassline Smith have just completed their album 'Wall Of Sound', which will be released on July 15 on New State Music. Although D&B in tempo, it's shot through with the buzz and dynamics of modern electro, trap, a smattering of 4/4 and dubstep – a style whose half-step rhythms “re-wrote the rules of what could work in a club”, says Smith. 

After the success of the Size Matters event in Edinburgh last year, Colours and Stereofunk revealed last month that they would return on Friday August 23 with one of the biggest brands in house music as Size invades Strathclyde Park in Central Scotland to bring Size In The Park! With a 6,000 capacity, there are another four arenas on offer with music from trance to techno and everything in between.

The 2020Vision imprint returns this July with the ‘Pushin’ On’ EP by Rob Amboule, comprising three original cuts from the Brit producer. Rob is a relatively fresh name on the scene, the young artist stepped onto 2020Vision’s radar following the London based producer’s self released white-label, ‘KERRI01’, which was supported by the likes of Paul Woolford, who closed the Space Terrace with one of the cuts last year, and Heidi on her Radio 1 show. 

Sebastian Markiewicz returns to his Compatible Music imprint this July with ‘Next In’, backed with a remix from Bedrock artists Two Hand Salute. Compatible Music was launched by Sebastian Markiewicz as a platform for him to release his own music, the label’s now four releases deep, and has already seen support from the likes of Catz’ N Dogz, Markus Homm, Halo, Audiofly and Moodymanc. 

In their home country of Belgium and neighbouring France Joy Wellboy have enjoyed decent status for some time, although they have not released a great number of records up to now. Now, that’s all set to change with the release of their debut album ‘Yorokobi's Mantra’ on BPitch Control.

This month, Ministry of Sound welcome Lange to the mix of their Trance Nation series. Joining the ranks of DJs such as Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Cosmic Gate, Andy Moor and Rank 1, Lange draws on more than a decade’s knowledge of sounds & styles, catalysed by exacting drops and epic lifts, bringing his take on the genre to two sun-summoning Trance Nation mixes. 

The recently released Toolroom TV episode 8 is brought to you from Ibiza where they check out the opening parties at Ushuaia, Space and Pacha as well as the International Music Summit. The label takes a tour of the South Coast with Hot Since 82, drops in to the Gran Hotel and Dalt Villa where they talk to DJ Driis, aka Idris Elba, and Nile Rogers, before calling in at Ushuaia to chat with partner and creative director Yann Pissenem.

After months of preparation, Defected officially start their 2013 season in Ibiza as Booom! opens its doors to Defected In The House on Saturday July 13, with Defected at The Tower following on Monday 15. The Defected In The House Opening Party on June 13 sees Disclosure headline, with support coming from FCL (with Lady Linn PA) and Simon Dunmore. 

After months of ticking away, the long awaited and highly anticipated launch of Giuseppe Cipriani's new club, Booom! takes place on Tuesday July 9. The club launches for the season armed with a diverse programme of electronic music talent. Kicking things off on July 9 and continuing every Tuesday will be Chaos Colores by Tom and Danni King with Behrouz - expect underground music with surprise guests.  

With Above & Beyond bringing their Group Therapy radio show back home to London on October 26, they recently revealed which artists will be joining them for this live broadcast. The show, taking place at the 10,000-capacity Alexandra Palace, their biggest London show to date, may well even have sold out by now! Joining Jono, Tony and Paavo for the evening will be Russia’s Arty, America’s Andrew Bayer, Anjunabeats artist Boom Jinx from Norway and Israel's Guy J.

German-born electronic artist, Ulrich Schnauss recently revealed that he’s embarking on a North American tour this summer performing in select North American cities. Earlier this year, Schnauss' released his fourth album, ‘A Long Way To Fall’ on Domino Records.

Richie Hawtin's ENTER. begins its 13 week residency at Space in Ibiza tonight with performances from artists including Richie Hawtin, Nina Kraviz, Paco Osuna, Photek, Tale of Us, Demdike Stare and Hot Since 82.This week also sees the release of the new ENTER.IBIZA 2013 CD to mark the start of Season 2. Featuring mixes from Paco Osuna, Hito, Barem and Mathew Hawtin, the four CD collection is designed to showcase the different sounds and moods from each room within ENTER..

After the success of Markus Schulz’ ‘Scream’ long-player from the end of last year, he continuous to release tracks from the album and this time it's the recent release of 'Tempted', which is out now on Armada Music.

On July 6, Sensation premieres its new show, ‘Into The Wild’, an event all about seduction and the classic ritual between man and woman. This Dutch premiere kicks-off the international tour that will visit more than 20 countries and will welcome Mr White, Nic Fanciulli, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Fedde Le Grand, Nicky Romero and Mark Knight. In honour of the event, Be Yourself Music will release the official Sensation 'Into The Wild' compilation. Disc one will be the mix of 24-year old Nicky Romero, and Disc two will be released by Sensation's resident DJ Mr White.

Dome Records recently revealed the new single from soulful house trio, Tortured Soul. ‘Can’t Keep Rhythm From A Dancer’ has a certain familiar feel to it, sporting all those Tortured Soul credentials and also featured on the package are some tasty mixes from San Fran’s Miguel Migs, who adds a deep, nu disco/boogie vibe to the song. 

It’s nine years since they unleashed their anthemic ‘Be Thankful’, now Jamie Lewis & Michelle Weeks reunite once again for a new single collaboration titled 'Step Up', out this month on Jamie’s Purple Music label! Featuring all the essential Jamie Lewis signature sounds - a bumpin' bass groove, synth hooks, infectious beats and a little sice of disco - ‘Step Up’ is a slice of house which carries a positive uplifting message, beautifully delivered by Michelle.

Last week, Armin van Buuren launched the official A State of Trance Spotify app, a day-to-night app for fans of his weekly radio show, record label and worldwide events. Connected to music streaming service Spotify, it links directly to his playlists, with nearly half a million subscribers. The app will keep his fans up to date on all releases of the A State of Trance label, the latest compilations of the Dutch DJ, as well as the latest episodes of the ASOT radio show.

Having had recent success with remixes of Depeche Mode and Moby and releases for Cocoon, Drumcode and Music Man, Gregor Tresher gets set to release his latest album ‘Nightcolors’ this week on Break New Soil. Initially focused on the true sound of electro with his Sniper Mode alias, Tresher has since found joy in writing house and techno with releases on Ovum and Moon Harbour.



Since 2007 Discotexas has flown the flag for disco and leftfield house music releases from a wide array of artists out of its sunny base in Portugal. Now, for the second time, the label is compiling some of its most popular cuts alongside a selection of unreleased exclusives that will soon see the light of day as singles packages.

Mexican label MEXA turns to label head Louie Fresco for its next EP. As well as steering this label to success and remixing the likes of Lee Foss, Fresco is a key member of the No 19 imprint run by Jonny White and Nitin and will release his debut album there later this year. In the meantime comes this new single complete with remixes from MK, Belgium’s fast rising Kolombo and production duo Jakkin Rabbit. 

Following in the footsteps of Mighty Dub Katz, Cagedbaby and The 2 Bears, DJ and producer Doorly has mixed the fourth installment of Southern Fried & Tested, Southern Fried Records’ compilation series in which selected artists mix up tracks from the label’s back catalogue. The mix features plenty of exclusive tracks as well as some forgotten gems and stone cold classics.

The Toy Tonics imprint pushes forward today with the ‘Right Now’ EP by Black Loops, backed with a Double Dash remix. Toy Tonics was launched in early 2012 out of Germany, as a Berlin house label, predominantly releasing music from international house producers who are based in the city. Since the birth of the label, releases and remixes have come courtesy of artists like DJ Sprinkles, Hard Ton, Sei A and Dimitri From Paris. These releases have picked up support from the likes of Maxxi Soundsystem, Trickski, Dusky and Huxley.
