In My Room Recordings recently announced ‘Lost’, the third full-length album from Anders Trentemøller. ‘Lost’ is much like its predecessor ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’ and serves not only as a logical continuation of his work, but also as yet another fuck-you to whatever genre you thought you had him boxed into. The Trentemøller sound is definitely left intact, yet as a whole it really doesn't sound like anything he’s ever produced before.
Sven Väth’s Cocoon label now turns attentions to Ibiza for its next double disc mix release. Artists at the helm are long time associate Ilario Alicante and new signing Alejandro Mosso, the first of whom offers a mix that is basically the sound of summer in Ibiza, whilst Mosso offers up a live set made entirely from his own productions and remixes.
Control, to be opened in September is a new project from the team behind The Warehouse club in Leeds. The project will be the biggest purpose built, multi-million pound music and dance venue in the North of England and is a brand new two room, 3100 capacity venue set across 25,000 sq ft.
Fina Records returns this September with the ‘Cloud City’ EP from Powel. Powel aka Paul Christie is a Berlin based DJ/producer and a relatively fresh name on the underground house circuit. Christie has previously released material with Berlin-based label Keller, Wunderbar Recordings and Deliciuse, and here he joins the Fina roster slotting in alongside Move D, Cottam and Leif.
On August 6, Enhanced Music and Will Holland return with the sixth installment of the compilation series, ‘Digitally Enhanced’. The 2013 edition features more than 30 tracks from across the Enhanced family, including over 25 unreleased exclusives. The album once again ranges from the deeper side of progressive house through to uplifting euphoria, as Will Holland mixes together the melodic landscape of Enhanced.

British label, Vinyl Solution, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year by making its entire back catalogue available digitally for the first time. The anniversary is spearheaded by the re-release of Bizarre Inc’s classic ‘Playing With Knives’. Released on 28 July, the track has been reworked by Utah Saints, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Timothy Allan & Mark Loverush, and Magnus J, who are helping to introduce the track to a whole new generation of electronic music fans.
On Wednesday, July 31, Wisdom of the Glove presents a live performance from Nicolas Jaar at Destino Pacha Ibiza Resort – his only appearance in Ibiza this summer. Nicolas Jaar began making music at 14 and two years later released his first EP on the underground dance label Wolf + Lamb. His debut album, ‘Space Is Only Noise’, received four stars in the Guardian and was ranked #1 Album of the Year by Resident Advisor and Mixmag.

Ministry of Sound continues with its new Ibiza residency tonight with MK, Wildkats, Amine Edge & Dance, STUFF and Pete Gooding. Defected Records finally get to launch their Ibiza season in full tonight as they kick off their highly anticipated new residency at the newly opened Booom! in Ibiza Town. This year’s Bavarian Opera Festival prepares to accept Paul van Dyk across the musical gulf. On July 27, in the grand surrounds of the Munich National Theatre, as part of his show at the festival, he will electronically reinterpret some of the most celebrated works of Giuseppe Verdi, one of the most revered operatic composers of all time. Additionally, van Dyk will also be showcasing music from his highly anticipated seventh artist album ‘The Politics of Dancing 3’.

The 2020Vision imprint returns this July with the ‘Pushin’ On’ EP by Rob Amboule, comprising three original cuts from the Brit producer. The Toy Tonics imprint pushes forward today with the ‘Right Now’ EP by Black Loops, backed with a Double Dash remix.
