The recent string of releases of Armada Music regulars Niiko x SWAE finds the LA duo’s sound with possible crossover potential, and their latest vocal piece, ‘Typical Love’, is an example of that. Pushing the instrumental into the back seat to let its lyrical message take centre stage, the track is a pop/club track that aims to tell an insightful story.

The Brand New Heavies, one of the most successful and enduring acts of the acid jazz scene, are celebrating their milestone 20th anniversary with two shows at Under the Bridge, London on December 13th and 14th. These performances will coincide with the release of The Best Of 20 Years, a two CD compilation documenting the band’s career to date.

My Favorite Robot Records injects its latest Stimulus package direct into the musical main vein. Over the last three years, whilst economic leaders and bank governors have struggled to get to grips with the unfolding fiscal challenges that have arisen globally, a trio of Canadian robots has been tirelessly working on their own form of quantitative easing. Since early 2009 James Teej, Jared Simms & Voytek Korab, collectively known as My Favorite Robot, have been releasing collected works from some of the hottest producers around on their eponymously titled label. 

Seattle-based songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and film composer, Anomie Belle, releases her new EP, Machine, on December 5th, featuring collaborations with members of the Sneaker Pimps, Mr Lif, and Big Spider’s Back. Many have already heralded Belle’s music as a soundtrack for the Occupy movement, and once again her potent music speaks out against the Machine.

Birmingham’s Tom Flynn mixes the new Strictly Rhythm compilation and comes with a fistful of credentials – not only has he graced the likes of labels like Dirtybird, Size and Deadfish with his productions, Pete Tong gave him Best Break Through Producer of 2010 and named his track ‘Bianca’ as Essential New Tune. Let loose on Strictly’s vast and varied collection of tracks, Flynn follows previous Strictly Rhythms selectors Michel Cleis, Charles Webster and Radio Slaves in fine style, choosing a session of lesser-known gems and underground goodies augmented by a clutch of his own edits plus a brand new Tom Flynn production in Opera House.

The second in the series of Subliminal Remixed features six brand new remixes of classic and recent club hits from the Subliminal Records catalogue. Erick Morillo feat Audio Bullys 'Break Down The Doors' (Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike 'Deep Down Dirty' 2011 Mix). A fully dirty reinterpretation that gives Erick and the Bully's classic a new swagger. Massive drops and plenty of stomp, with the vocal sounding as good as ever. 

Steaming ahead with release number eight and the first track to feature on upcoming label mix album, ‘Dirty Weekend’, the Grand Hotel back catalogue receives yet another welcome addition with Plump DJs’ latest offering, ‘Gobbstopper’. An almighty bass-laden hybrid, this dirt disco anthem will turn up the heat with its winter release. The record inspired by a summer of kick ass festival sets for Andy and Lee was first played on the Pagoda Stage at SGP, and following an immediate and unprecedented reaction ‘Gobbstopper’ is now a must play in every set.

Enjoying a constant critical high and a never ending creative peak, Paul Weller continues to push the boundaries when he releases his new album ‘Sonik Kicks’ on March 26th 2012. The follow up to the Mercury Music Award nominated ‘Wake Up The Nation’, this is Paul’s 11^th solo album and like each of his solo albums, it's his best yet. ‘Sonik Kicks’ features appearances from the likes of Noel Gallagher and Graham Coxon. ‘Sonik Kicks’ reveals Paul Weller once again shaking up his palate and stirring his influences anew, mixing pop art punch with soulful communication, jazzy explorations into psychedelia and dub with razor-sharp melodies, abstract soundscapes with clear-eyed forest-folk.

‘I-Robots Present: We Are Opilec...!’ is a double CD project from Italy’s Opilec Music released to showcase some of the forthcoming music from an imprint that is joyfully contaminated by krautrock, electro, house, techno and disco. A fascinating release which takes in tracks and remixes from Giorgio Moroder, San Francisco' synth punk act The Units, Swiss electronic pioneers Schaltkreis Wassermann, Orlando Voorn, Nemesi and No More Klein & Mbo and of course Opilec Music artists I- Robots; ʻI-Robot Present: We Are Opilec...!ʼis a varied and rare insight into some of electronic music’s true innovators.

Richie Hawtin will wrap up his iconic Plastikman Live 1.5 UK Tour with an aftershow party at The Arches following the sold out Glasgow Barrowlands show on Saturday 3rd December. In addition to support from Magda, Gaiser presents Void andAmbivalent, Richie Hawtin will close out the Manchester Academy show on Thursday 1st December with an exclusive 60 minute DJ set in addition to his earlier Plastikman live performance. 

Hypercolour imprint deliver ‘Don’t Put Me in Your Box’ EP from the talented Maya Jane Coles this winter. Featuring four new original cuts and artwork created by the multi-faceted producer, the EP marks the final 12” release before her album project takes hold in 2012. Desolat co-founder Loco Dice today announced he will be touring the US in December, in conjunction with the release of the third annual Desolat Christmas Sampler, out on Desolat Dec 12, 2011. Loco Dice will kick off his tour in Detroit on December 1 and conclude in Los Angeles on December 17. 

Adrian Lux is back with the first set of remixes for his latest smash ‘Alive’ featuring English electro pop band The Good Natured.  While Adrian’s original version of ‘Alive’ is a marriage of pop and the dance floor, these fresh new remixes are all about those peak time moments in a club.

Their extensive worldwide tours have apparently left a wake of screaming girls and a fanbase that seems to grow exponentially. The duo are already a sensation across the globe, playing to sold out arenas and super clubs each week. 

Dave Spritz releases his new track 'Keep Movin'' on the 10th November, complete with some very heavyweight mixes from Jorgensen, Rosie Romero & Ian Round and Dave's own Outta Control mix.

Bedrock releases the debut artist album from rising Greek star Stelios Vassiloudis, titled “It Is What It Is”. Presented over two discs, the album commences with a beautiful cinematic soundscape on CD1, whereas CD2 allows Stelios to showcase his club sound, which develops from laidback deep house grooves right through to a more intense techier acidic vibe.

SocietePerrier.com, a recently launched global nightlife website, announced a new partnership with Nervous Records — one of the most influential dance music labels currently celebrating its 20th anniversary — in presenting a series of hot New York City events at Cielo throughout the months of November and December. First, on November 8 it’s Crazy P performing live in support of their new studio album, When We On. Then on November 22 Parisian DJ/producer Norman Doray hits the town in support of his new Strictly Rhythm release, Strictly Ibiza To Amsterdam. On December 6, Junior Sanchez and Gina take to Cielo’s decks before Cristian Arango soundtracks a pre-holiday celebration on December 20.
