Dutch DJ/producer Mike Mago arrives on D4 D4NCE with a remix package of his track ‘The Show’, featuring three brand new remixes from Tensnake, OFFAIAH, and Eli Mich. First released in 2013, the track apparently saw support from various DJs and opened the producer up to a wider audience.
Few productions in house music are as possibly recognisable as Tensnake’s ‘Coma Cat’. Originally released in 2010, the record has continued to be a crowd pleaser and in the record box of DJs across the globe, liked for its old-school piano stabs, funky synth lines and hook.
Last week saw the release of Tensnake’s remix album of last year’s ‘L.A.’, converting the tracks of the original album to more club-focused ones. ‘L.A. Noir’ is a crossover between the Californian days and nights the artist fell ‘so deeply in love’ with during his time in the city. This week, the album meets its creator in the upcoming documentary, which catches the ‘Making Of’.
When Oumi Janta used ‘Ba:sen’ to soundtrack one of her roller-skating videos, little did she or producer In Deep We Trust know what was to come. With the video getting hundreds of thousands of views overnight and shares from the likes of Alicia Keys, Celeste Barber & Viola Davis the track went on an upward spiral. It was soon signed to FFRR and has apparently since, been labelled a ‘hit’ with support from Pete Tong, Sam Divine & Martin Garrix.
Jasper Street Co.’s ‘You’re My Latest, My Greatest Inspiration’ single from their ‘Rejoicing’ album on Nervous Records receives remixes from Tensnake, Dr Packer, and Micfreak, in addition to individual interpretations from the group's producers Teddy Douglas and DJ Spen.
German producer and DJ Marco Niemerski, better known as Tensnake, has apparently over 70 million combined steams of his work to date. Having remixed artists including Dua Lipa, Aloe Blacc, Lana Del Rae, Azari & III, Pet Shop Boys, London Grammar and Duke Dumont, and working with three-time Grammy-winner Stuart Price, Nile Rodgers, Jamie Lidell and MNEK amongst many others, he returns with his second studio album entitled ‘L.A.’ named after the city that until recently he called home.
London based electronic duo Eli & Fur have remixed Tensnake’s latest single ‘Somebody Else’ feat. Boy Matthews. The duo opt for a deep, melodic version of the track, allowing Matthew’s vocals to shine through.
As the release of his LA album continues to draw closer, Tensnake releases the fourth single from the album, following ‘Rules’, ‘Automatic’ and ‘Somebody Else’.
Following on from his recent announcement and continuing to tease his new body of work, Tensnake released today his next pop and synth infused single ‘Somebody Else’ on True Romance and Armada Electronic Elements.
