Earlier this year trance DJ/producer Ferry Corsten announced his three-part ‘Hello World’ EP series, a globally-influenced project exhibiting his far-flung musical inspirations from dancefloors the world over. The first edition, released in February, saw Corsten tap vocalists Haris and Angelika Vee to create the tracks ‘Back To Paradise’ and ‘Beat As One’.

Following a string of releases on Spinnin’ and Axtone as well as a single on their own Boogie Angst label, Kraak & Smaak make a return to Jalapeno with ‘My Mind’s Made Up’, a big disco boogie tune. Channelling classic upbeat soul with analogue production, this track could be straight off an ’80s dancefloor with a kvocal delivered by Berenice, the soul singer who fronts K&S live shows.

Polaris

Located 2,200 metres up a mountain, with panoramic views of the Swiss Alps, Polaris launches its first year in the Swiss ski resort, Verbier, Switzerland. Guests including Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig feat Mad Mike Banks, Seth Troxler, Luciano, Mirko Loko and more will play over the two days of the festival, in an intimate setting for 1,000 party people.

Brighton Music Conference

The UK’s Brighton Music Conference (BMC) recently confirmed its 2016 two-day event will take place at the Brighton Dome on Thursday 14 April and Friday 15 April 2016. Following the apparent huge success of BMC 2015, which saw the number of professional delegates increase by over 30% and its Academy programme enjoy capacity audiences, the conference returns to its original April schedule, which was moved in 2015 due to availability of the exhibition centre.
