Mark Knight is back on his label, Toolroom Records, as he drops another track with this collaboration with his studio partner, James Hurr. The release comes off the back of a string of collabs this year for Mark that include Green Velvet and Darius Syrossian.
Toolroom’s Mark Knight continues his string of collaborations as Darius Syrossian appears alongside him for the first time on the label. Darius is a long-standing figure in the underground house circuit with a career spanning two decades, two Grammy nominations, Ibiza residencies and apparently ‘an army of ‘Moxy’ faithfuls that follow him to every club and festival he plays at’.
Late last year, house music vocalist Kathy Brown was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, which has now spread to her brain. The news came as a total shock to her fans, friends and family and resulted in an emergency operation. Kathy is currently undergoing a course of radiotherapy and immunotherapy, and the road ahead is going to be a challenge unlike any she has faced before.
Toolroom’s second release of the year sees the return of DJ/production duo Leftwing : Kody who team up with producer James Hurr on their debut outing ‘Music Is the Medication’. Familiar to the label the duo have possibly established themselves as one of the most successful acts to come through the label. Their records have proven popular, from ‘If You Wanna’ and ‘Without You’ with Camden Cox to ‘I Feel It’ which sits on 30 million plus streams on Spotify.
Rounding off the year Toolroom head honcho, Mark Knight, steps up to deliver the latest instalment of his ‘Bullets’ series, with Vol. 5. Picking up where Vol. 4 left off, the release features new collaborations with two of Mark’s current favourite DJ/producers, Mason & James Hurr.
