Poland’s DEAS kicks off his ‘Maniac’ two-tracker on CLR with title track ‘Maniac’, featuring deep, sub-heavy rhythms accompanied by techno stabs that dart over its groove. Leaving the cover of the smoke machines then comes ‘Bunker’, another track with a front-loaded low-end shot-through with synth hits.

Following three outings on Chris Liebing’s CLR imprint, DEAS returns to the label with the ‘Fear’ EP. For this release, the Greece-born Polish artist demonstrates the use of tension in his music, with the title track building in energy through rolling bass and rhythm, counterbalanced by the sudden, imposing strikes of a string instrument.

Techno artist DEAS returns to Planet Rhythm with the ‘Tanzhaus’ EP. The Bau Muzik label boss joins the Rotterdam imprint for his eighth release on the label, with the track ‘Black Air’ coming in with drums, hi-hats hissing and crackling among dub-chords, occasionally interrupted by the flash of plucks.

DEAS drops his 'Elements' EP on his BAU MUZIK imprint, consisting of four techno cuts. The rolling drums of ‘Praxis’ open things up for the release as the track builds the energy with filtering stabs and echoing highs, before the sounds of ‘Black Form’ ricochet off his grooves and techno bleeps.
