Shlomi Aber dropped his latest ‘Limelight’ EP on CLR this month. He kicks things off with title track, ‘Limelight’, a kick drum setting the pace while synths light up the airwaves, spoken words bringing a sci-fi feel to this strobe-lit track. He then drops a broken mix of the track, scuffing the kicks and bringing a raw funk feel that has already been picked up by the likes of Radio Slave, Josh Wink, Dave Clarke, Alienata, and more.

Björn Torwellen’s ‘Binary Fate’ EP kickstarts CLR’s 2025 with three techno tracks, set for release on 31 January. It kicks off with the percussion and raw bassline in title track ‘Binary Fate’, to the dub hits and shadowy atmospheres of ‘Fear Of The Unknown’, before it closes with ‘Lost in Transmission’.

Poland’s DEAS kicks off his ‘Maniac’ two-tracker on CLR with title track ‘Maniac’, featuring deep, sub-heavy rhythms accompanied by techno stabs that dart over its groove. Leaving the cover of the smoke machines then comes ‘Bunker’, another track with a front-loaded low-end shot-through with synth hits.

Klint starts his ‘Immersive Culture’ EP on Chris Liebing’s CLR with ‘Tomahawk’. Raw sonics and drums make for a dancefloor trip followed by the peaks of ‘Forces’, where the RSPX and Planet Rhythm artist exploits a chopped-up vocal sample, keeping the energy high.

Following a remix appearance of Chris Liebing on Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD imprint last year, the pair now team up on Liebing’s CLR imprint for ‘I Will Be A Devil Until I Am An Angel’. First up, ‘Watch Me Choose You’ launches with a clap-heavy groove shot through with bleeps and squelches, a subtle acid-line woven among its drums.

Following three outings on Chris Liebing’s CLR imprint, DEAS returns to the label with the ‘Fear’ EP. For this release, the Greece-born Polish artist demonstrates the use of tension in his music, with the title track building in energy through rolling bass and rhythm, counterbalanced by the sudden, imposing strikes of a string instrument.

Shlomi Aber returns to Chris Liebing’s CLR label with ‘Remote 101’ EP this month. Be As One boss Shlomi has been DJing and producing since 1994, bringing his style of techno to imprints such as Cocoon, Ovum, Nonplus, Figure and CLR. Aber follows his 2022 EP, which spent nine months in the Top Ten Beatport’s Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic) section, with another four techno tracks.

Chris Liebing recently dropped ‘Love Those Who Fight With Passion And Faith EP’ on CLR. For the first label release of 2023, Chris drops an EP for his own imprint, the two-track ‘Love Those Who Fight With Passion And Faith EP’. Leading the release, ‘For Those Who Fight’ combines kicks and siren-esque bleeps with vocal samples and percussion for a club cut.

Chris Liebing recently released his landmark 100th track on CLR as the German techno producer dropped two originals and a remix from film composer and techno/trance artist Ralf Hildenbeutel. ‘Time’ and ‘Sup’ are two techno tracks in the mould Liebing has possibly been known for throughout his career.

Planetary Assault Systems have remixed Chris Liebing on CLR. Originally released as a Bandcamp exclusive to restart the CLR imprint after a five-year hiatus, the expanded version of Liebing’s ‘Bruson EP’ drops in full as ‘Bruson EP Redux’, featuring a remix from Luke Slater’s Planetary Assault Systems.
