Leeds-based DJ/producer Danny Bond releases his bootleg of Human Resource’s single ‘Dominator’ on Patrick Topping’s imprint Trick and Holland’s Armada. Ending last year as one of Skiddle’s top ten most searched-for artists, his rework of the 1992 classic was heralded by tastemakers and became a summer anthem by amassing over 1.5 million views across social media.
Tiësto has joined forces with BIA and 21 Savage for the new single, ‘Both’, which is available now via Atlantic Records. The track follows this spring’s release of Tiësto’s seventh studio album, ‘Drive’, which was the first album of 2023 to be certified in the US by RIAA.
Adrianna follows ‘Falling’ with ‘Got The Night’, a tough, techy track with a vocal that takes its cues from aspects of house, techno and old-school rave. Her sound is characterised by blending vocals with tough, club-ready beats and she started 2023 with a bang, releasing her Beatport Hype track ‘Confidence’ on DJ S.K.T’s Stashed Music, and following up with the aforementioned ‘Falling’.
Techno artist DEAS returns to Planet Rhythm with the ‘Tanzhaus’ EP. The Bau Muzik label boss joins the Rotterdam imprint for his eighth release on the label, with the track ‘Black Air’ coming in with drums, hi-hats hissing and crackling among dub-chords, occasionally interrupted by the flash of plucks.
Shlomi Aber returns to Chris Liebing’s CLR label with ‘Remote 101’ EP this month. Be As One boss Shlomi has been DJing and producing since 1994, bringing his style of techno to imprints such as Cocoon, Ovum, Nonplus, Figure and CLR. Aber follows his 2022 EP, which spent nine months in the Top Ten Beatport’s Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic) section, with another four techno tracks.
Next to a collaborative outing on Lee Foss' Repopulate Mars label this summer, Spain’s Kevin Corral has also cooked up a brace for Foss's South of Saturn. Kevin is a new school artist who is aiming to drive the house and tech scene forward with his sound. He is apparently a firm favourite with artists like Jamie Jones and Solardo.
Dissident Music recently announced the release of ‘Tunnel Vision’, the debut album from Focus FL. Since the 1990s, Focus FL has been a journeyman in the world of progressive house and electronica, and in the last several years he has seen a personal resurgence to become a core artist for Dissident Music.
British DJ/producer Bushwacka lands on Nu Groove with a four-track EP, ‘House Sound Vol. 1’, that demonstrates his production skills. A member of the Rat Pack rave outfit, his impact on the underground scene of the ‘90s was noticeable and together with fellow Brit Layo Paskin, the pair created compositions that highlighted the sound of house and techno, blending the two genres.
Ten years ago, singer, songwriter, DJ, producer and now podcast host Ultra Naté stepped into the studio with Destiny’s Child member and GRAMMY Award-winning gospel singer, Michelle Williams. The pair recorded ‘Waiting On You’, one of the stand-out tracks on what would be Ultra’s eighth studio album, ‘Hero Worship’.
