Following her contribution to ‘Gudu & Friends Vol. 2’, Gudu Records formally welcomes Alinka to the label, with the new single ‘Freedom Dance’, which is out now. Born and brought up in Kyiv, but spent her formative years in Chicago. She spent the 2000s as a resident at Justin Long’s .Dotbleep party at the city’s Smartbar club, and in 2012 launched Twirl - her party series and label with Shaun J. Wright.
Alinka and Shaun J. Wright present the re-launch of their label, Twirl, a homage to the classic Chicago house sound with a fresh, forward-thinking attitude. Alinka has been immersing herself in the sounds of Cajmere and DJ Funk not long after arriving in Chicago as a Jewish refugee from Kyiv, Ukraine.
Next up for Ellum Audio is a new remix from Alinka of 'Addicted,' a track from Madben's recent ‘Troisième Sens’ LP. French techno’s Madben aimed to take things to the next level with his latest album, a multi-genre work that although aimed at the dancefloor also follows an intriguing narrative arc. It comes after many years of working the underground and releasing on the likes of Laurent Garnier's Scan X’s label.
Get Physical Music welcomes back Roland Leesker for one of his new singles, this time with a remix from Alinka. Leesker's contributions to the label work well and in recent times he has collaborated with Roland Clark on ‘WTF!’ and served up a cover of ‘Crazy’ as well as co-producing 'No Way Out' with Neil Barber at Hot Kitchen Studios in Berlin back in September.
