Last night, DJ Mag revealed the results of their Top 100 DJs Poll 2016, announcing Martin Garrix as this year’s winner. The 20-year-old Dutchman is the youngest ever No.1 DJ, and takes the top spot from 2015 winners, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Martin was awarded the No.1 trophy by his mentor, Tiesto, on stage at the Top 100 DJs Poll Awards Party at the Heineken Music Hall. Dutchman Nicky Romero recently unveiled his new collaboration with Dutch duo Navarra called ‘Crossroads’, which is out now on Protocol Recordings. Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) recently announced the launch of ADE Live, a two day showcase program taking place at Melkweg, Paradiso and Sugar Factory, where both festival visitors and industry professionals can explore the very best new electronic acts playing live. The first edition of ADE LIVE takes place on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 of October during ADE, featuring Jessy Lanza, RÜFÜS, SUUNS, River Tiber and CUT_ amongst many others.

Voting opened yesterday for the 2016 edition of DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs Poll and will close at 11.59pm BST on 14 September. Monumental Productions recently announced that Awakenings will expand during the forthcoming edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event (from 19-23 October 2016).
