Max Styler has made new strides in his decade-long career, honing his craft of melding techno and house music elements into a catalogue of club cuts. He returns to Insomniac Records with his new single, ‘I Know You Want To’. The track is built around vocal loops and maddening expletive echoes that feed into the deep, pulsating basslines and dark groove.
Max Styler: “I made ‘IKYWT ‘in the days leading up to my set at Seismic in November last year. Before big sets, I usually lock myself in the studio and create a few new records to debut. I had been gravitating increasingly toward simpler drum patterns and basslines, and I knew I wanted to put my twist on that sound. The dramatic expletive in the song highlights the frustration you feel when you realise you’re faced with no other option but to lock in and find a way to achieve whatever has been lingering in your mind or needs to get done.’’
This release follows his recent ‘See You Sweat’ alongside GENESI, which has surpassed 2.5M streams. His music is apparently popular with artists including Pete Tong, Adriatique, Peggy Gou, Hidden Empire, and Rafael Cerato.
He was named #16 on 1001TrackLists' Top 101 Producers' list in 2024, with six #1 Beatport chart-topping singles, and was appointed by Pete Tong for the Hot Mix for BBC Radio 1 in December 2024.
Upcoming tour dates include AME Laroc Festival, 1015 Folsom, The Ave, Showcase, Knockdown Center, Bonnaroo, and more.
