TCTS

For more than a decade, TCTS has carved out his space in electronic music, one that aims to connect peak-time club dynamics with modern pop production. Now, teaming up with US distributor Gamma under the imprint TACTICS, the Manchester-born DJ/producer is stepping into his own, establishing a home for his sonic identity.

The EPs lead single, ‘Take Me (Favourite Place)’, distills TCTS’s club sensibilities into a cut where rhythmic precision meets a melodic touch. The track also marks the start of a wider run of releases that will see him roll out five new singles throughout 2025, each one apparently pushing deeper into his evolving palette.

His Kiss Dance residency recently moved to a Saturday night slot and has become a platform for both his own selections and to host B2B sets alongside artists like Marshall Jefferson, Gorgon City, CHANEY and Young Franco.

The launch of this EP is a culmination of a decade-long journey. He first broke through with releases on Greco-Roman and MTA Records, before landing on labels like Defected, Toolroom, Selected, Armada, and Ministry of Sound, where his Kelis and Sage the Gemini-featuring single ‘Do It Like Me (Icy Feet)’ amassed over 12 million Spotify streams, entered the UK Top 40 Singles Dance Chart, clocked up six weeks at the top of the Radio 1 Dance Chart and was most played specialist tune that year.

His music aims to move between the underground and the mainstream, apparently drawing acclaim from Pitchfork, i-D, The Guardian, and Mixmag.

‘Take Me (Favourite Place)’ is out now on TACTICS.
