Australian producer MaRLo returned to Dreamstate Records recently with his single, ‘Dreaming’. A follow-up to his recent label debut, this track takes the honour of serving as the official anthem for this year’s Dreamstate festival in SoCal.
The track is a tech-fueled offering, built around siren-like vocalisations, symphonic string sections, and cascading arpeggiations. The production flits between euphoric trance melodies and techno energy, aiming to showcase his aim to create tracks for both festivals and dancefloors.
“Are we Dreaming?” MaRLo questions, inviting listeners to join him on an exploration of the out-of-body sounds that resonate with the adventure-seeking Dreamstate ethos.
The track follows his previous label debut ‘Oceans’, which drew radio and live support from artists including Andrew Rayel, Giuseppe Ottaviani, and DJ Regard, as well as coverage from EDM Tunes, EDMtree, Beat for Beat, Canadian Ravers, Music Daily, and Indie Dream.
Based out of Sydney, he is apparently one of Australia's most notable names in dance music, having spent the last decade showcasing his blend of melodic and tech-driven tracks.
He has also has been touring his hard ticket ‘Altitude’ concert series in Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and China, has an upcoming performance at Insomniac’s inaugural EDC Thailand, and has a co-headline show with Andrew Rayel at New Gas City and Les Y eux Orange in Paris.
