Hot off the back of their Human By Default imprint’s 50th release milestone, Miami-based duo Bedouin return to home turf with two cuts that have already been road-tested at Pacha Ibiza during their weekly SAGA residency and beyond.
Opener 'Better Than This' is a house track with vocals from IVETA that bring a seductive edge to the beats while synths weave through cascading strings.
On the flip, 'Khazna' is a seven-minute deep house trip lit up with synth work and peppered with swinging woodblocks. The arrival of a haunting lead at the mid-point adds an eerie touch to close out proceedings.
Bedouin: “‘Better Than This' has been in the works for a year, and we're excited to finally release it to the world. It’s a song about embracing the present moment, because that’s all we truly have. As we journey forward, it’s the mystery of that path that keeps us alive.
“‘Khazna’ was written with the magnificent city of Petra in mind while preparing for our Cercle live broadcast at the Petra Treasury; this track was then road-tested, refined, and perfected to ignite a dancefloor near you.”
Multidisciplinary DJ/producer duo Bedouin, aka Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki, capped off another summer that included festival appearances at Eastern Electrics and OFFSónar, and a non-stop Ibiza season curating and fronting their SAGA party.
