Moby has joined forces with Ukrainian DJ/producer Miss Monique to reimagine his 1994 release ‘Feeling So Real’ and mark the track’s 30th anniversary. Originally described by Billboard as “a bridge uniting rave and classical music”, the track possibly remains one of Moby’s most unique productions, fusing styles and genres from across electronic music.
Miss Monique: “To be on a record with Moby for my own label is an absolute career highlight for me. His iconic status as a true pioneer of electronic music needs no explanation. ‘Feeling So Real’ is one of his rave anthems and it was a dream to collaborate with my sonic and sound 30 years later!”
Miss Monique will provide a home for the collaboration on her own label, Siona Records. The release also marks the start of a new worldwide distribution partnership with Above Board, who will oversee the label’s continued growth, market positioning, and catalogue management.
Miss Monique: “We are very excited to have signed Siona Records to Above Board Distribution. The label now has a catalogue of over 200 tracks, and it really feels like the right moment in my career to raise the profile. The first release is my collaboration with Moby: perfect timing on many levels. We are proud of the label and excited to continue working with our family of artists and many new ones.”
Following this collaboration, the label will see releases from a range of upcoming and established talent including Magdalena, Hidden Empire, Teamworx, Bolth, Greenjack, and Christian Nielsen.
