Laurent Garnier's COD3 QR presents the latest digital release, ‘[QR]D.320.MFS.24’, which features exclusive tracks by both label regulars and new signings: Alex Rothschild, Loloman, Costello, Manuel-M, Carlos Nilmmns, Jim Rivers and Onur Ozman.
Alex Rothschild is a producer and DJ whose musical journey was shaped by a decade in New York. During this time, he was influenced by house music artists such as Todd Terry, Terry Hunter, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Louie Vega and more, as well as the Detroit DJs who came to play there, which led to him making house tracks under the alias of Coco Basel. Now he's gravitating towards minimalist electronic music. Now he's gravitating towards minimalist electronic music, like ‘Cosmorak’, enriched with basslines, while retaining the New York and Detroit essences.
Loloman is a French producer in the underground electronic music scene. He creates music without adhering to conventional rules, blending styles, synthesising sounds, and unveiling a musical world filled with strong emotions and a groove that aims for universality, inspired by his extensive experience on the dancefloor.He draws inspiration from the roots of Detroit techno, Chicago house, and the diversity of the British and German music scenes, releasing tracks on the likes of MB Elektroniks, Brique Rouge, Metrohm, and here with ‘The Wall’ on COD3 QR.
Costello is a versatile French electronic music producer, artist, and DJ with a discography that traverses techno, disco and beyond. With a discography that traverses techno, disco and beyond, he has possibly carved out a niche as a genre-defying act, which he brings to new track ‘Dream Operator’.
Manuel-M has been working behind his machines since 2008. He remains attached to an old-school vision, marked by the pioneers of techno, while incorporating his style through contemporary sound design as displayed on his track ‘Take’.
Ross McMillan aka Carlos Nilmmns is a UK producer, originally from Glasgow but now living in Angers in France. In the past, he's released on labels including Circus Company, Cocoon, Ornaments, KMS, Planet E and Dopewax. Here he delivers ‘Just Another Day’.
Returning to the studio after several years hiatus, Jim Rivers (a.k.a. Copy Paste Soul) has picked up where he left off. With previous releases on Bedrock, Global Underground, Renaissance and an album on Carl Cox's Intec label. Here he releases ‘Canna’.
Onur Ozman is an artist and a professional architect, who apparently combines both disciplines in his precise productions. Now based in Zurich (Switzerland), he started his career as a member of the Istanbul house music scene in early 2005, and his musical talent has since led to him releasing music on labels like Sum Over Histories, Isolate, Yoshitoshi, Hottrax, Rebirth, Noir Music and Kwench. Here he releases experimental closing track ‘If U Want’.
