Following 2021’s ‘Disco Trip Vol.6’ EP, a split EP with Ben Sims’ Ron Bacardi alias, DJ Bruce Lee’s solo debut for Hardgroove is released. Comprising five tracks that traverse the techno remit, the ‘Aura EP’ sees one of Barcelona’s underground figures jump from moody grooves on ‘The Line’ and ‘Rise’ to warehouse sonics on the title track.
‘Memories’ and ‘Drums’ close the EP out, with the former tipping a nod to his love of Chicago’s jacking, discoid grooves while the latter delves deep into warm, drummy, late-night sounds.
It’s a varied EP from an artist who’s been part of Barcelona’s vibrant scene since 1998.
