With the release of his debut album ‘Dream Sequence’ imminent, Alex Kislov releases the latest single from the LP, ‘Time Stops’, straddling the boundary between deep, melodic and progressive house. Alex has apparently become a rising figure in Chicago's electronic music scene and his sound is a mix of deep house, techno, and experimental rhythms, landing him sets at venues like Radius, Spybar, and The Mid.
The track is indicative of the kind of sound you can expect from the album - evocative, deeply emotional synth lines are paired with punchy beats, providing the bed for the spoken word vocal.
A music video producer by MMA Films will also be released alongside the single.
Alex Kislov: “This will mark our third project of cinematic musical creation, and produced by the incredibly talented MAA Films. From Shining in 2020, Want To Feel in 2022, and now Time Stops in 2024, I simply cannot imagine anyone else I’d ever want to work on these with. Marcus has a beautiful way of taking a symbolic meaning and bringing it to life in a very artistic way, and always making sure to incorporate ideas with the people he works with. Big and special thank you to the crew, team and cast that made this one so much more special!”
Alex’s debut album was announced back in May with the release of lead single ‘Daydream’, which featured the vocals of Ron Carroll. The title track followed: a melodic slice of house music with an emotionally-charged vocal from UK singer-songwriter Leo Wood and production from Kislov.
