Soulsearcher | Prunk

When Defected Records launched back in 1999 its debut release would possibly become one of house music’s best loved cross-over records: Soulsearcher’s ‘Can’t Get Enough’ originally released on Soulfuric Deep. Reaching #5 in the UK singles chart at the time, the legacy of Marc Pomeroy’s vocal club cut lives on well into the 2020s.

Now, as part of the Together series celebrating Defected’s 25th anniversary, which integrates talent from the label’s past and possible stars of its future, Defected revisits the track with a fresh remix from the Netherlands’ Prunk. ThePIV founder adds his bounce to the record for another addition to the series.

Prunk: “Remixing Soulsearcher - 'Can’t Get Enough’ was all about finding that perfect groove. I wanted to stay true to the original and add my own energy that hopefully stays with you long after the track ends. For me, it’s more than just music—the original is one of the tracks that shaped me as an artist and house music in general. The original being the first-ever Defected release, and this remix being part of the Defected 25 years series, makes it even more special. It’s a moment that truly celebrates the heart of house music for me."

Soulsearcher ‘Can’t Get Enough! (Prunk Remix)’ is out now via Defected Records.
