The GRAMMY award-winning Purple Disco Machine returns to Defected with an original, ‘Beat Fantasy’, which aims to showcase the PDM aesthetic in all its glory. Possibly one of the world’s most recognisable producers, he has captured fans worldwide thanks to a slew of releases, including collaborations with Nile Rodgers & Shenseea, Duke Dumont, Chromeo, Kungs and his recent remix of Wolfram & Josh Ludlow’s ‘YoYo Disco’ on Defected.
His electro, funk, and nu-disco hybrid sets have earned him slots at some of the world's best clubs recently including Hï Ibiza with Glitterbox and Ushuaïa Ibiza with Defected.
This latest outing on the London label is a representation of his club sound. A vocal sample works in tandem with a synth-laden build and release. Choir-like harmonies join in the latter half, juxtaposing the driving rhythms to form a quirky club record that is typical PDM.
