German/Iraqi artist, producer and DJ Boys Noize has released a longtime live-favourite, ‘FVKVRVND’ ahead of his return to HARD Summer Music Festival this weekend on Saturday, 3 August in Inglewood, CA. This is a change for HARD, who, ahead of the festival, are apparently sending a message that they will be serving what their name says, and that they are not fvcking arovnd.
The new single is propelled forward by the 4/4 rhythm and after the wide expanse of the buildup, the drop aims to squeeze the chest and rattle the gut. Discrete details like his use of open hi-hats give the drums a live punk quality, and the low-pass filter produces organic harmonics out of the synth. The piercing alarm cry of some synthetic animal warns when danger reappears on the horizon, back for the track’s second round.
Boys Noize ‘FVKVRVND’ is available on all platforms via HARD Recs.
