Glitterbox’s Melvo Baptiste returns to the label with ‘Did You Pray Today?’ featuring vocals from Annette Bowen. Following his gospel-tinged collaboration with Dames Brown, ‘Sweat’, Melvo is back to develop his sound, this time spotlighting the vocal talents of Annette.
The two previously collaborated on the label in 2022, releasing ‘Gonna Be Alright’ alongside Chicago’s Jamie 3:26 to apparent ‘critical and commercial acclaim’.
The track is a take on the Lisa Taylor original from 1992, and is an upbeat addition to the London artist’s diverse catalogue of records. As the track builds, Annette’s voice is supported by choral ad libs and Melvo’s production touches.
