LA-based producer Thomas Garcia and Arizona-based producer Juany Bravo have reconnected to give rise to their latest tribal house single, ‘Ahamprehma’, which is out now on Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION imprint. The track finds them showcasing their respective rhythmic persuasions and is a celebration of both Latin and African cultures, carried along by its vocals and a percussive-fueled backbone accented by shakers, bongos, and arpeggiated oscillations.
Sung in Sanskrit, the words ‘Aham’—meaning ‘ultimate’ and ‘Prema’ meaning ‘love’—combine to convey amessage of warmth and adoration.
Juany Bravo: “Thomas Garcia and I have been friends for quite some time and have released a few tracks together over the years. So, when I sent Thomas the idea for the track, featuring Mantrance’s vocals, we knew we had to get back in the lab again and finish this anthem. The idea for the track was to incorporate our backgrounds and love for Latino and African grooves, paired with these incredible vocals, to create a timeless, uplifting track.”
Thomas Garcia aims to specialise in creating deep grooves and minimalistic rhythms that exist between the sweet spot of house and techno. He originally debuted on the label in 2019 with his two-tracker ‘Peaking / Cate's Dub.’ His ‘El Carpintero’ track was listed in the ‘20 Best Dancefloor Bangers’ by Mixmag in 2023 and his releases have enjoyed support from ANOTR, Paco Osuna, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Chloe Caillet, Mason Collective, Mele, and Bontan.
Juany Bravo is a house music producer with a catalogue that finds him leaning into his love for Latin, tribal, disco, and hip-hop sounds. He recently released his ‘Stay Close’ track on the label via the ‘Rotate Volume 12’ compilation, and his music has been championed by Diplo, Black Coffee, Hugel, Gordo, Tom & Collins, and AMÉMÉ.
