Production/DJ/vocalist duo Eli & Fur drop ‘My Reflection’, a third taster from their upcoming sophomore album ‘Dreamscapes’ on [PIAS] Électronique. The new single apparently shone in their two recent sets at Cercle Festival Paris (including a secret set in a control tower at the National Air & Space Museum). Previous LP singles ‘Insomnia’ and ‘Golden Eyes and Tears’ have already won acclaim from Billboard, Mixmag, BBC 6 Music, SiriusXM, DJ Mag and more.
Eli & Fur: “‘My Reflection’ is a dream for the one that one got away… it is about being consumed by a person or feeling you cannot shake. It is blurring the lines between what is real and what is not - is it something you should let go of, or is it something worth fighting for? It is playing things over and over in your mind, every fleeting glimpse feels like a reflection of their lingering shadow.”
Eli & Fur are the London-born, LA-based longtime friends who have carved a space in the industry via releases on Crosstown Rebels, Anjunadeep, Cercle, Armada Deep plus their own NYX Music. They have also played on stages like Coachella, Printworks and Tomorrowland.
The ‘Dreamscapes’ LP concept is an explorative odyssey that aims to transport listeners to a realm where the ethereal dances with the actual. Each of the 15 songs tells its own story ‘about the beauty of all corners of the night, dusk to dawn and the flashes in between’, and the album represents a new phase of their musical evolution.
‘My Reflection’ is out now. ‘Dreamscapes’ will drop 27 September on [PIAS] Électronique.
