Curtis Mayfield's timeless track, ‘Move On Up’, originally from his 1970 debut album, ‘Curtis’, has long been a soul favourite for many. Fresh for summer 2024, Grammy-nominated DJ/producer Mark Knight brings a twist to the classic for Spinnin’ Records. 

Respectfully transporting the song onto today’s dancefloors, Mark ramps up the energy, delivering a fusion of classic soul and modern house that should appeal to both new listeners and long-time fans of Mayfield's soul legacy.

DJ, producer and label owner Knight is well-known within dance music and has over 120 million streams to his name. His career has spanned over two decades, with releases on big labels such as Sony, Warner and Ministry of Sound, through to independents such as Cooking Vinyl, BBE, Elrow and his own label, Toolroom. 

Last year saw the launch of his new Fool’s Paradise label, a platform for funky, soulful, disco and vocal house, with a focus on real instrumentation and great songwriting. Just back from a tour in Japan, he has a busy DJ schedule ahead this summer, along with a whole host of new tracks coming soon.
