DJ/producer Alex Cecil’s new release is ‘Promises’, which is released on the imprint Exx Underground, nominated this year as Beatport’s Best Hype Label of the Year. The track combines elements of melodic house, space disco and synthwave into a dancefloor concoction.
Apparently ‘one of the most in-demand DJs on the underground scene’, he has regular gigs at Burning Man, Floyd Miami, House Of Yes NY and is known for his eclectic styles, hitting #1 on the Traxsource techno chart off his very first release.
He grew up surrounded by music, becoming an accomplished cellist, who played Carnegie Hall at a young age, while spending his nights absorbing the vibrant New York City club scene. His father was a local impresario (co-owner of the early-2000s Club OHM) and his cousin Tucker Halpern later formed the Grammy-nominated electro-pop duo Sofi Tukker (signed to Ultra / Sony).
