LA transplant by way of France, Dombresky has aimed to become a cornerstone for house music imbued with disco, funk and feel-good persuasions. Here, he’s teamed up with fellow French producer Makinn to issue a rework of his previous solo single ‘In My Room’ alongside singer-songwriter SHELLS on Insomniac Records.
On the VIP version, the pair pull the track closer into French touch territory, pitching down her vocals and setting them against cascading strings, organ melodies, boxy piano chords, '90s-esque guitar string plucks and woozy pads.
The original has amassed 4.4M streams, drawing press support from names such as Stereo Fox, This Song Slaps, Last Day Deaf, Acid Stag, The Nocturnal Times, Guettapen, as well as radio support from Kiss FM, Sirius XM, Tiesto, Don Diablo, Alison Wonderland, Wax Motif, Claptone, Louis The Child.
Dombresky is in the middle of his 'Lift Off' North American Tour, with stops at Space Miami, Concord Music Hall (Chicago), Ogden Theatre (Denver), Knockdown Center (NYC), Midway (SF), Shrine (LA).
It’s out now.
