Dor Dekel is apparently one of Tel Aviv's leading talents and, over the last 20 years, has served up Afro and tech house sounds that have won support from the likes of Carl Cox and Mark Knight. He has his own Line Out radio show on 100FM and has played events like Art Basel in Miami and the Tomorrowland festival.
He has worked with countryman Guy Katch before now on singles like 'I Like The Way', and this latest production, ‘Turn The Lights On / Raindance’, is a free-flowing and elastic groove with pads weaving in and out of deep drums. Synths are paired with a rising tension that keeps things always on the move, with a vocal adding the light up top.
Next up is the tropical house heat of 'Raindance', a groove with organic percussion and soulful vocal chants. It's a loose-limbed rhythm that's detailed with piano chords that aims to carry dancefloors away in a trance.
