‘We Had A Love’ by singer / songwriter Zoey Jones gets a deep afrocentric rework courtesy of Richard Earnshaw under his Inner Spirit guise. Set to a spacious afro-groove with emotive melodies that flow around Zoey’s vocals, Richard injects a punchy afrohouse vibe that’s equally at home on the dancefloor or poolside. The package also features Zoey’s original version - a sunset ready slo-mo melodic house track, drizzled with electronica that flows around her vocal performance.
British based singer, songwriter, DJ, producer and label owner, Zoey, started writing and top lining with DJs and artists in the early-noughties. She collaborated on many projects with Rui Da Silva and has since independently released a number of deep house singles via her label Love Struck Records with remixes by DJs Sebb Junior and Stonebridge.
Her vocal tones and beats have led her to travel across the globe to many destinations especially within Asia, which is where she gathered a lot of her musical inspiration from. Her work has been flaunted across music brands including MTV, Cafe Del Mar, Clubbing TV and has performed at venues such as F1 and Rock In Rio, to name a few.
A classically trained jazz musician, producer, DJ, remixer, songwriter, co-founder of the iCulture brand and Duffnote, One51 and Guess Record labels, Richard Earnshaw under his various collaborations and pseudonyms (notably Spiritchaser, One51 and Inner Spirit) has co-written, produced and remixed many varied artists.
‘We Had A Love (Inner Spirit Remixes)’ will be released on Traxsource promo on 6 October, with a full release on 20 October on Love Struck Records.
