Surging ahead with his next single on Jack Said What, Serge Santiago is doing well just now. His ’11:11’ album, released on 11 November 2022, was full of 4/4 dancefloor tracks, and he’s already well on the way to album number two.
‘Take Me Away’ is another house tune to add to Serge’s solo cannon. “Music is the basis of all life…” says a voice, extolling the wonders of music at judicious points throughout the track. Swung beats, a tinkling bell and funky percussion provide the bedrock to another playable, chuggy house music missive.
A regular at Jack Said What label nights while also helming the Stompa Phunk club brand that he recently relaunched in his home city of Brighton, Serge has been firing on all cylinders since leaving behind the Waze & Odyssey project that he was half of for the previous decade. After spending most of his time in the studio over the past couple of years, he’s also back gigging internationally now as a solo artist.
