Tuscany-born, Barcelona-based Marco Faraone runs the Uncage label and event series, where he showcases the breadth and depth of his tastes. Returning to Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint after multiple appearances on the label, ‘Any Good Vibe?’ sees Faraone bring another EP of techno.
Leading the A-side is the title cut, with yelping vocals and percussion all adding to the energy of the track. 'Ego Kills' follows, with swinging drums, chord stabs, and dubbed-out stylings that aim it at sweaty back rooms.
Rounding out the release is 'Ghana', a heavy techno groove layered up with plenty of percussion, synth sounds, and a vocal that adds unease to the atmosphere.
Marco Faraone: “My music on Rekids is always going through different shades of techno, a very crossover sound heavily influenced by house music too and jackin’ raw
grooves. When I release something on this label, it’s always something special, with deep musical research and selection. It’s always a challenge and inspiring to write something new and fresh
for Rekids.”
