Two-time BRIT Award winner Becky Hill releases the Tiësto remix of ‘Disconnect’, her collaboration with Chase & Status. Trading in the moody atmospherics of the D&B original Tiësto added his perspective to the track.
“I ain't gonna lie to you, life's been fuckin life-ing,” the vocalist belts over the Dutch producer's percussion on the remix. “And I need a night or two to get me unwinding.”
Swapping out synths for house beats the Dutchman’s overhaul adds a shot of adrenaline. Becky referred to the original version as "a true dancefloor record that tows the line between the rave and the radio" — and that description is equally applicable to the remix.
‘Disconnect’ follows ‘Side Effects’, a No1 Radio Airplay Chart record, which was A-listed at Radio 1 and placed at #1 on Spotify’s New Music Friday. It elevated Becky over the landmark of a billion UK streams, an achievement which was honoured with a Brit Billion Award by the BPI. Her domestic success contributes to a global tally in excess of 7 billion streams as a lead artist.
