Previously appearing on Trick’s ‘Tasty Techno’ compilation as well as on Sola, SOLOTOKO, and Spinnin’ Deep, Hannah Laing returns to Patrick Topping’s label with a two-track EP. Both tracks see Hannah reach for vocal samples, heavy-hitting drums, and synth lines, possibly delivering some of her most accomplished work to date in the throes of ‘sold-out shows all over the UK and Ireland’.
Hannah: “I like to think of my sets as fun, bouncy techno and ‘Get Busy’ embodies this, a classic feel-good dance vocal with peak time energy. I actually bought the original Big Bass vs Michelle Narine version from my local record shop, Groucho’s in Dundee, when I was 15! ‘Mind Controller’ has been a mainstay in my sets recently, sampling one of my favourite hardstyle vocals, it shows the darker side of what I play. It never fails to shake the dance floor!”
