Trutopia team up with Greta Levska on the atmospheric, acid-inflected broken-beat cut ‘Lights Off’. The brothers deliver a mix of classic, deep, electro house that has been championed by Pete Tong, Jaguar and more on BBC Radio 1, while Mixmag are apparently huge fans, saying: “it’s inevitable that they are destined for big things.”
After releases on labels including Strictly Rhythm, Nervous Records, Stress Records and millions of streams, the duo’s supporters include the likes of Gorgon City, for whom they opened for at Printworks this year. Their next release lands on Get Physical, a collaboration with Lithuanian-born, London-raised Ibiza resident Greta Levska.
Greta has a multicultural background that feeds into the music she makes and plays. She is someone who possibly rose up through the ranks on the White Isle this summer with sets that cross a wide house and tech spectrum. Inspired by the likes of DMX Krew, Bugz In The Attic and Peggy Gou, she will follow up this first outing on the label with more new music in 2023.
The track is a broken-beat, acid-inflected techno cut with synths lashing about the mix over drums. An echoing vocal swirls around the mix to bring the soul and after the atmospheric breakdown acid flashes up the ante, aiming to take things to the next level.
