Following the mid-June release of his five-track debut EP, Trey Mirror is aiming to turn heads in the lead up to the EP’s forthcoming remix pack. Now, the anonymous act launched the official music video of lead single ‘Moment’, which aims to shine a light on life’s most precious occasions.
An audiovisual journey into the short-and-intense milestone moments that could be anyone’s, the music video portrays people from all corners of society experiencing life to its fullest. The visuals mirror the track’s existential and spiritual nature and match the EP’s theme of looking deep into one’s self to find understanding.
In a few weeks from now, Trey’s EP will also welcome its remix pack. In addition to remixes from Farves, QZB and Teho, the four-track release will feature a re-imagination from electronic musician Max Cooper, who’s apparently ‘gained industry-wide acclaim for his approach to music production and live performances.’
A relatively new name within the dance music realm, Trey is one of the latest to join Armada Music. His moniker aims to reflect the different views of reality whilst putting an organic, yet electronic sound to the feeling of melancholy that can’t be shaken.
He’s apparently looking to remain anonymous for the foreseeable future, but the mirrors will become part of the live performance to echo some of the inspiration and political motivation behind the music.
