Featuring vocals by Zeca Veloso, son of Caetano Veloso, a Brazilian artist, winner of many Grammy Awards, and "the 4th greatest artist of Brazilian music of all time" by Rolling Stone magazine, ‘Todo Homem’ was reimagined by DJ/ producers, Antdot and Maz.
The original song is almost an open letter from Zeca Veloso, Caetano Veloso, and Zeca's brothers to their mother. From the lyrics to the soulful and warm instrumentals, it’s apparently quite popular.
Zeca's songwriting alone show he's the son of Caetano Veloso as the lyrics, although simple, evoke profound and personal significance. It apparently paints a picture of all the little things, like the feeling of "coziness" and "shelter", that feel like his mother.
He goes on to repeat "Every man needs a mother" in the chorus. Antdot and Maz honoured this song by reimagining it, simultaneously preserving every aspect of the original intention, while bringing a vibe to life. It’s already received early support from the likes of Diplo, Keinemusik, and Vintage Culture.
