Josh Wink and Truncate come together again for a follow up collaboration on Wink’s Ovum Recordings. Wink has been a popular artist in the underground for decades, playing a techno sound as a DJ, label head and producer that takes in acid, deepness and plenty of drive. Truncate, meanwhile, is one of the new school artist with a sound built on heavy drums and grooves.
They have worked together before on tracks like last year's 'Be Aware', and with this track, ‘Let Go' it combines both artists' qualities. As the track unfolds, the tension rises and falls as it aims to keep drama levels high as the groove never lets up.
Wink then steps up to remix and does so with a more direct approach - the drums are paired with hits. Synths layer in further intensity and the texture of the track makes it more targeted for the peak moments in any set.
It’s out 26 August.
