2nd Blood is the project of Copenhagen-based musician, producer and songwriter Silas Tinglef. Veering between punk rock, pop, ambient and electronic, Tinglef has also been a backing musician for the likes of The Raveonettes and Jacob Bellens. Right now he joins Trentemøller's band on his Memoria Tour as a drummer.
2nd Blood's debut EP has been released on Trentemøller's label In My Room, which he has just released his Madchester Edit of ‘Type 9000’, which is taken from the EP.
Here he takes the original's outsider pop-melodies and a propulsive rhythm track topped off with sparkling guitars and synths - and transforms it into a rework that aims to be reminiscent of the Manchester sound with new layers of stormy guitars and corresponding beats.
Before he and his new band head over to North America in September and October, they still have a few dates to play in Europe this month:

Then he’s off to the USA, Canada and Mexico, starting in Seattle on 16 September and finishing in Brooklyn on 6 October, with various dates all across the continent.
