John Digweed and longtime studio collaborator Nick Muir have spent years crafting productions together. Following the release of the 50-track compilation, ‘Quattro II’, from earlier this year, they return to lend their remix capabilities to two tracks. The latest offerings mark Digweed’s first official remixes in a few years and showcase his studio ability alongside Nick Muir.
After nearly 30 years since the release of Joe T Vannelli’s track ‘Play With The Voice’ Feat. Csilla, Digweed and Muir have picked up the original and transformed it into a progressive melody that aims for the listener to experience the track in a completely reimagined way. Paying homage to the 1993 production, the pair rework the track to incorporate edgy instrumentals and distorted vocals.
Shortly after being championed by Digweed for his Transitions radio show, The Pressure has collaborated with Digweed and Muir to craft a progressive house cut. ‘Counting Down The Days’ aims to encapsulate feelings of hope for better days ahead as The Pressure’s diverse nature coupled with Digweed’s productions blend together.
London-based electronic band The Pressure have been growing their own discography since 2019. Their recent releases include the single ‘Saturday Night’ and self-released singles ‘Ride’ and ‘Planes’.
Offering their own outlook on live electronic music, they pull influences from modern rave culture and Bristol-era UK electronica.
