Launched in 2018 Jika Jika Festival apparently offers an intimate city festival and works with various names in the scene, attracting a following from both local and international visitors. This year for August Bank Holiday weekend they will be returning to a new location in their spiritual home of Derry with a one day Drumcode event on Saturday 28 of August.
Drumcode, the Swedish techno label helmed by Adam Beyer has grown with followers spread right across the globe. Jika Jika have partnered with them for previous editions giving their followers a taste of the label's vibe.
This year taking to the stage is label boss Adam Beyer headlining, joined by Joseph Capriati. Alongside is Rebūke and finishing the line up is Irish selector Yasmin Gardezi who’s apparently built a name for herself with a broad selection of new and old music, receiving recognition as part of the MOTZ Berlin crew.
2021 sees a relocation to a brand new site located on the edge of the city - The Boneyard, a disused urban setting that will be transformed into a multi-purpose event space.
