Tibasko have apparently found their sound in twisted tribal drums and underground house beats, and on their new two track ‘Tempus’ EP, the new young DJ/production duo return to Waze & Odyssey’s Street Tracks label, having previously released on the label late last year.
Their productions for labels such as Another Rhythm, Smiley Fingers, and their very own Omusaré Records, have already received support from a range of DJs in the electronic music scene, including ANOTR, Loods, Jay Newman, PAX, Deeper Purpose and more.
Title track, ‘Tempus’, starts with widescreen strings ushering in a techno flavoured rhythm and bending bassline, as an elementary vocal hook and charged synth lines give the cut a possibly Detroit-influenced vibe. Accompanying track, ‘Nerije’, maintains an ethereal feel, with gated vocals and deep electronics forging a hybrid of old school electronica and modern day house grooves.
