Following ‘Club Lit’, their CUFF label’s 100th release last year, that featured a special remix pack, Amine Edge & DANCE return for 2020 with a debut Solotoko release in the form of the ‘Turn It Up’ EP. Not tied down to one genre, the duo aim to cross multiple realms including house, bass, tech house and garage infusions and their versatility has landed them winners of the Best Bass category at the DJ Awards, support from Pete Tong as well as a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix under their belt.
Their releases span labels including Defected which saw the duo secure a Beatport No1 with ‘Lovelee Dae’ alongside Blaze, as well as labels like Desolat, Flashmob, Sola, Toolroom and their own CUFF imprint.
Celebrating their 100th release in 2019, they enlisted producers including Jimmy Edgar, Matt Sassari, DJ Deeon, Eskusche for remixes of their ‘Club Lit’ track. Now, the pair appear on Sonny Fodera’s Solotoko with this latest release.
With garage pulses and crossover house infusions, the track is aimed at packed dancefloors and radio airwaves alike with a vocal that soars over the nostalgic ensemble. Meanwhile, ‘Stronger’ leads with another old school vocal that’s transformed into a modern track by the duo with subtle piano stabs and jacking percussion.
