Defected recently revealed the programme for its first ever London FSTVL this September at Central Park, East London. Taking place on Saturday 14 September 2019, the festival’s five stages will be hosted by Defected, Glitterbox, Classic Music Company, 4 To The Floor and DVINE Sounds – imprints that form branches of the extended Defected Records’ label family.
Headlining the Defected main stage will be Masters At Work, Claptone, Dennis Ferrer, David Penn and various label residents including Sam Divine and Simon Dunmore as well as live performances from India, Julie McKnight and Shovell on percussion. Glitterbox will host Dimitri From Paris, Purple Disco Machine, Horse Meat Disco and more, including live appearances from label newbie Fiorious and vocalist Teni Tinks.
The 4 To The Floor stage will dig deeper for dance music classics from the likes of Todd Edwards and X-Press 2, CJ Mackintosh and Heller & Farley while Classic Music Company will showcase the left-of-centre sounds of Honey Dijon, Derrick Carter, Folamour and Sophie Lloyd to name just a few. DVINE Sounds, the up and coming label run by long-time Defected resident Sam Divine, will showcase the talents of Low Steppa, Amine Edge & DANCE alongside Jess Bays, Dario D’Attis and more.
Defected London FSTVL aims to bring together over 10,000 people to showcase the best house DJs that make the London label one of the best in dance music. Established in London 20 years ago, the event marks a milestone for the label as it celebrates its 20th birthday this year. While its events continue to tour year-around all over the world, the festival will celebrate the label’s hometown.
