With just a few weeks to go until Scotland’s TRNSMT festival takes over Glasgow, the festival recently announced the return of #SmirnoffHouse on 29 June to 1 July, which will host performances from local and international DJs. This year, the festival extends to two weekends of music; from 29 June – 1 July plus 6 and 8 July with headliners Stereophonics, Liam Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys, Queen + Adam Lambert, and The Killers.
The five day extravaganza features Arctic Monkey’s only UK festival appearance following the release of their sixth album, plus the debut of rising artists like Tom Walker, Sigrid, Pale Waves, Anteros, Dermot Kennedy and many more.
Kicking off the #SmirnoffHouse party is local Glasgow DJ Sean Claude, Rebecca Vasmant plus Glasgow club night Pretty Ugly. Crazy P bring their late-90s soul, house and disco vibes to the opening night, blending pop moments with underground disco.
Sub Club’s Harri & Domenic play on 30 June. Players in the Manchester dance scene, Madam X play on Sunday 1 July, blending grime with garage and dubstep with funk.
#SmirnoffHouse will serve drinks throughout the weekend, including the Smirnoff Soda Fruit Smash.
The festival recently announced Platform On Tour as the festival’s official street food offering. For more info, check www.TRNSMTfest.com
