Glitterbox’s New York debut on 21 June sees a guest headliner join two US homegrown DJs, Tedd Patterson and Sabine Blaizin, who aim to inspire the dancefloor hedonism that has possibly made Glitterbox Europe’s most talked-about party. The brand generates an inclusive, uplifting party atmosphere designed to unite all on the dancefloor. They are immersive with its production, dancers and soundtrack to create a truly 21st century disco.
Having hosted acts including Armand Van Helden, Groove Armada, DJ Harvey, Greg Wilson, Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Purple Disco Machine, Honey Dijon, Horse Meat Disco,
Nightmares On Wax, Derrick Carter, Kenny Dope and many more, the stars of the show are the Glitterbox performers, queens and club kids bringing the Glitterbox phenomenon to life.
Over the last 12 months the Glitterbox phenomenon has grown exponentially, toured the world, and apparently becoming one of London’s most in-demand events, selling out shows months in advance. Meanwhile, the weekly Glitterbox Radio Show continuously occupies iTunes #1 spot for music podcasts, and Glitterbox Recordings has released new music from the likes of Debbie Jacobs, Folamour, Aeroplane, Dr Packer, Ralphi Rosario, Mousse T. and The Shapeshifters. Not to mention the compilations selected and mixed by Simon Dunmore, proving that the spirit of disco is alive and kicking.
Over the summer Glitterbox will be touching down in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Bristol, Manchester and Zürich plus many more, while its 18-date residency at Hï Ibiza returns on tonight.
