With musical trends always changing and evolving, it’s good to see The Shapeshifters sustaining a successful career in house music for over 10 years now. Think we actually gave them their first, or one of the first, UK press coverage when we edited M8 Magazine and were sent the instrumental of 'Lola's Theme' via Paul Farris' FourFour Promotions.
After already lighting up dancefloors with a recut package of their own anthem ‘Lola’s Theme’ earlier this year, and with Max now absent from production and DJ duties, Simon steps out on his own and returns to Glitterbox Recordings with ‘When Love Breaks Down’.
The track has funky basslines to brass sections, topped up by warm Rhodes piano and is coated in sensuous vocals from London’s own Teni Tinks. Have to say, we're loving it! This is great work from Simon.
Out 20 October, it’s a lovely track and it's good to see another new production from the The Shapefshifters.
